Saw them live at Knebworth, the very last concert they played with Freddie!! That was the BEST EVER concert that I have been too.

Not for me..... I really have a huge dislike of Queen and their sound. Cabaret and cheesy to the max. I've worked with Brian May and he is a class guitarist, but just not my cup of tea.

Phenomenal band, spellbinding. It doesn't matter which poll you look at bohemian rhapsody always voted best ever single. For me the death of Freddie Murcury was the greatest loss to music ever.

I saw UFO last year, that was great, I was supposed to see Saxon supporting Judas Priest but by the time we got to Hammersmith Priest had just started a 3 hour set so missed them

    Same,

Old girlfriend took me to see them in Hammersmith. Freddie was a laugh but I mostly cringed for 90 minutes as they were so bad. You got them spot on stereo, "Cabaret and cheesy" total crap.

Motorhead two nights later blew my bits off, as well as ear drums. Lemmy and co have got to be one of the greatest British bands of all time, certainly not Queen.

Queen are one of those bands that I appreciate (for their undoubted talents) but could never get into or go out of my way to listen to. I disagree about them being cheesy though but I can see why some would see "cabaret" elements to some of their songs. Agree about May being a great guitarist.

Talking of UFO... is this the Schenker (sp?) UFO? Is Michael back with them or still with MSG? I knew someone a long time ago who was into them!

I find peoples' musical opinions intriguing and sometimes bizarre. If only everyone could have perfect taste like me eh? (joke)

OT: regarding my fascination with people's choice in music, this is brilliant and spot on...

p.s. if you're not familiar with David Firth's animations take a look at fat-pie.com

Back in my youth, I used to go nearly every other week with my mate to see bands. It was take it in turns to decided what bands to see. He was always into Rush, Yes etc, and me more Quo, Rainbow etc. Happy days!!!!

I do have an eclectic taste in music, Stones were great but I have to say Michael Jackson was brilliant in concert.

Perhaps we should list the bands we have seen and see which ones are on a list of shame!!! :)

No he left back in the 70's due to alcohol abuse I think.

Iron Maiden are the best live act I have ever seen (5 times) and they get better each time I see them, although Rammstein have the best show closely followed by Alice Cooper
