Match 1 - Man City (A). A narrow defeat to the current Premier League Champions and the richest club in the world with Argentinian international scoring a spectacular winner.

Match 2 - Liverpool (A) - A 3-1 away victory for the Swans against Liverpool, the most successful Club in British football history, with 5 wins in the European Cup/Champions League.

Match 3 - Chelsea (H) - A 1-1 draw against the current European Champions. A team drooling with class and some of the most expensive players in British football.

Now if anyone wants to complain or make excuses........

Im gonna say the greatest week is yet to come PGF !!

A shame we got done by Tevez at their place, was a world class strike by a a world class player . a point there and today would have made me a very happy guy,but the important thing was the performances and they were all bang on

There will be weeks just as good as this on the Horizon PGF <cheers>

It's been a wonderful week, but we need to put in a good performance against Southampton next week as if we don't get any points, then the last week will be all in vain.

Apart from the point and the performance, another thing to come out of today is the fact that Michu avoided a card, meaning he's available for another big game in which I expect him to have a huge impact next week.
With Chico back too, I think we'll batter Southampton next week

I really hope so SA9 - as great as the point was today, Southampton is arguably a bigger game! We need to beat the teams around us in the 'mini league' to ensure survival; Southampton is a 6 pointer, win that one and I will be a happy Jack!

As great as this week is there is better to come and we are still feeling bummed at not getting more return for our value. And that's the best part, we feel we deserve better, it means we are finally shaking off this Big Club Boggie Monster bull **** we've been beating ourselves up with forever. Being big doesn't mean you play better football, or make better trades, or have smarter people on the field or in the back office. It means you generally pay way too much for way too little to be outplayed by clubs like us, that pay very little for a hell of a lot, and that are big where it matters .... During 90 minutes on the field.

"Being Jack Army". ... We don't need a ****ing video series to tell us who we are. We are small enough to remember where we've come from, big enough to know where we're going, and enjoying the journey to get there.

"we are still small enough to remember where we came from" this should be written on the stadium walls !! i feel that many sometimes forget this and i would hate for us to become those type of fans that think we should be beating this team or thst team without really knowing anything about them!

Fans of other clubs have been writing us off for years, its what makes our prem dream even sweeter ! but i feel we should live the dream by keeping a foot on the ground :)

I agree it has been a good week but we must go for the kill at Southampton. If we lose down there then all the good work is undone. If we win and follow on with some good results we can start to wave good bye to the mini-league at the bottom.

Absolutely agree. With other results not going for us eg. Wigan and Norwich, despite our brilliant performance against Chelsea, we actually lost some ground.

For me, Southampton is a MUST win. We have to underline our growing form and keep our foot on the gas. If we lose to them, it will give them confidence and momentum and put a huge dent in ours. Our last three performances against the "big" clubs have been great but we need to do it against teams around and below us to keep our position.

If we play to our full potential, I have no doubt that we will win. BUT..... remember that Southampton is a high energy, physical team, the type that historically we always seem to struggle against. I hope and pray that Chico will be fit because we will need his height and physicality to combat (and I use that word deliberately) Lambert. Ash won't cope with him if he gets the right service and Monk certainly won't.

As for the service into Lambert, both full backs will have to make absolutely sure that they keep on top of the wide men to keep this to a minimum. If we force Southampton to play through us centre field, I feel we have enough there to win that battle and go on to win the game. Hope I'm right.

Absolutely right if we can nullify Lambert and if we play to our potential then we can come away with the points.

The QPR Reading result was good for us today and its 0-0 Liverpool Newcastle after 40 mins which will also be good if that stays as it is.

    played 3
    won 1
    drew 1
    lost 1
    goals for 4
    goals against 3
    points 4

so a reasonable week including cup match but league points just the solitary 1 point.........that is not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination and i can understand laudrups view that we must beat saints to make it a good last 4 games.........voice of reason speaking...<ok>

A reasonable week. Try thinking about the context of that week.

what has Liverpool got to do with the points we got..<doh> 1 point we actually managed even though we played well and all im saying is the saints game is a must win to achieve 4 points from 3 games...that will mean the difference of either 4pts from 9 or 1pt out of 9.if the latter then it will be poor and if we get 4 points that will be average...you have to look at the bigger picture because it dont matter how well you play it matters how many points at the end of it....The voice of reason gives you the reality of the situation once again.....no rubbish just the Facts as they are that nobody can possibly argue against.....<ok>
