There was a great war? Here was me thinking war was bad for everybody involved. What happened in the great war? Did everybody get on really well?
What draft? Start by closing all windows and doors. If you still feel a draft having closed all open apertures this will help you locate the source. When you find the source plug it up with expanding foam. Note: Do not use expanding foam on your letter box. A draft from there is perfectly natural.
I spent the best part of 2001 travelling throughout Belgium and France and I have returned many times since. My contact list for getting about the WW1 and WW2 sites is second-to-none, so now I am going to send you the details of two independent tour operators (personal friends of mine) who will see you get the best possible rates and coverage for Normandy and Flanders. Check your PMs, Jonno.
Gambol I must introduce you to my neighbour - she has an obsession with open windows - MY open windows - she claims that my open fanlight windows cause a draught in HER home (she doesn't live with me ! ) and makes her place cold. She made a particularly stupid point on the subject in July last year - when the temperature had hit 30 c that day. She has made many other malicious claims against me - including not liking the colour of my car !
Cycled the line of the trenches from the French/Belgian border down to The Somme. In places the lines were visible and in a wood I discovered a stack of artillery shells still in a little pyramid. It was surrounded by debris including a cooking pot with shrapnel holes, the sole of a boot, and various bits and pieces -all German. A couple of years after I cycled the invasion beaches in Normandy.Much less debris to be found there.Inland there is an area called the Falaise Gap where the German armies were surrounded and destroyed by air attack. In the ditches along the narrow lanes there was quite a bit of gear still to be seen.Being on a push bike is definitely the way to see it all.
