The Great Ricky Spragia Mystery?

A few weeks ago Spragia quietly left SAFC with a short, polite and business like statement on the web site from Quinn.

“Ricky left by mutual consent, we thank him for all he did and wish him well”, was about all it said.

Driving home after the WBA game I was listening to Real Radio and Rob Mason, programme editor, was asked about Ricky leaving and he said he could not say anything but it would all come out in time.

Love Ricky or ate him it seems very strange to me and my natural nosiness makes me want to know more.
Ricky has a job for life said Quinn.

We buy Angeleri, Riveros, Da Silva who don’t work out.

Or am I making a conspiracy theory were there ain’t one?

I was a Ricky supporter syd like many on here who could see that he was there to keep us up and no more. The job for life thing was at best to keep him with us and keep the fans onside after he did what was asked of him.
As for the players you mention apart from Angeleri who I''d never heard of to be honest, who wouldn't have brought in Da Silva or Riveros? Both very good players for their previous teams and countries but, as ever no use at all for SAFC in PL. Da Silva had some good games for us the other two have had about 4 games between them to prove themselves but as said didn't work out.
Not sure there is a conspiracy theory there but, no smoke without fire etc.

I know Malcolm Crosby applied for a job in Scotland a few months ago (maybe Motherwell can't remember) and Sbragia was nailed on to become his assistant if he got it.

He's a coach who got shunted into a scouting position. Fair play to the guy for leaving to do what he wants with his life.

Aye, think he just wanted a bit more Responsibility. I also imagine all the travelling involved in scouting may make it a lonely job.
