Purple hat mate and black armband as a mark of respect. Thoroughly enjoyed. Didn’t run for any specific time as my best is sub 1hr 50. I promised Mrs B that I’d run it with her and she’s nowhere near that pace. 2:49:33. Massive PB for her so all good.
Well done Mr & Mrs Marcus and congratulations to Mrs Marcus on her PB

I am just back home in Scunny after me and our lass completed it today in 2 hours, was very warm and hard, and sad to see a lot of folk on the coast road getting medical treatment, a couple looked in a bad way, hope it’s not serious.

I am from South Shields and love coming home every year to run this even at 52 :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Well done to both of you <applause> <ok>

Well done mate and your mrs. I’m only 5 years behind you!!

I must admit though, it’s starting to take its toll now, I used to run it at a breeze but I really felt that yesterday.
I found it easy yesterday but I was running average 5 minutes per mile slower than I normally do. Broken shoulder has massively hampered my speed. Still 6 weeks from the bone healing properly then another 12-15 months of intense physio to get the full range of movement back! Oh to be a footballer with all the physio they get access to!!
