So it's nearly that time again where the rain occasionaly stops and everyone heads to the back garden to burn things on an outdoor grill.

But it's not all bad cooking, there's beer and music. I'm sure everyone does a Summer BBQ playlist like me? Well maybe not but you should.

So BBQ tips, music suggestions and fav drinks to be posted please. It wont last long fellas so get out there and have a party! :emoticon-0103-cool:

I've never been bother with it TBH. I prefer cook inside and finish on BBQ rather than burning everything while flies buzz about.

I do a lot inside to start with, sausages for example I poach for 10 mins and then finish on the BBQ. Otherwise the ****ers are black by the time they cook through,

    Gay.

Cooking sausages on the BBQ is a man challenge, can you cook them through without burning them to a crisp? Hair may be singed, skin might be lost, swear words will definitely be uttered.....but the bangers will be served...

    Man up.

I just learned to BBQ mate ;)

I do pre-cook chicken though in fairness, as serving up salmonella to my entire family and half the village is always a nagging doubt.....

I love a BBQ domestic, there always seems to be one, fortunately not mine these days. You always get one though eh? She's had too many wines and it's still mid afternoon, he sees her getting giddy and tells her to ease off. She calls him a boring **** and starts flirting with all and sundry....or vice versa.

    Love it.

Tears amongst the beer bottles and bread buns........

The big argument I get is with Mrs luv moaning about the music BBQ is man territory, man music is required so no One Direction.

Disclaimer. Please ignore the One Direction thread I did that time.

In general the butterfly for chicken works...

for BBQ in GENERAL. burgers, sausages and say baked potatoes are all better off in an oven and then finished on BBQ.

It sounds silly bu putting raw on a BBQ only means you are going to have to watch like a hawk and be hugely careful to not burn them and end up scraping off back char at some point.

The whole point of a BBQ is flame grill flavour.

Tunes always causes arguments at BBQ's, so I generally swerve.

I want a half oil barrel to fill with ice for beers this summer. But I want a new or professionally cleaned one, and I don't know where to start looking.

Most British BBQ-ing ends up in what is known as 'raw cremation' since people try to cook like they would in a kitchen or using an oven or hob. Low and slow is the way to go.

Am into Japanese teriyaki style at the moment ... can use it as a BBQ glaze ... the very basic sauce is a mix of soy sauce, mirin (rice vinegar) and sugar. For a bit more flavour add to that minced garlic, sake and sesame oil. You can make a thicker version by adding cornflour and also using water to thicken/thin it. Mix your chosen ingredients together to your taste then brush on whatever you are BBQ-ing or grilling
