I was talking with a young man the other day and his attitude was 'does it really matter how this is done?' in regards to some catalogues he was delivering. When I suggested to him that it did, he used the argument that nothing is of any consequence in the 'grand scheme of things'. I suppose when you look at it, he's right. It doesn't make a huge difference to the world which side of the road he's delivering to and that such futile organisational functions are simply folly in lifes masterplan. On the other hand, if you apply this attitude to everything in your life, surely you would end up being on the dole, smoking what little weed you can afford, eating beans on toast for dinner every day and not leaving the house until you've run out of beans...? Where do YOU sit/stand with this?
He was supposed to be delivering the catalogues to a certain side of the street whist his colleague delivered to the other side.
