Sad news but a real relief for the family as that nagging feeling of uncertainty must just destroy your life.

To me that is discrimination to those of us who have hair (Although it is getting thinner with each passing day admittedly) . The rest is pretty accurate for me.<laugh>

A woman is standing naked in front of her bedroom mirror.

"I'm old, saggy and wrinkled," she sighed.

Then she turned to her husband who was sitting in bed, reading. "I could really do with you saying something nice, you know."

He looked up. "Your eyesight's perfect."

Alan Hansen seems to have fully recovered from his recent illness, and has been out playing golf. Good to see.

Bad day to work for a corp/medium size company. Global IT outage that seems to be caused by an agent on windows machines that is meant to protect them.

Crowdstrike are a global threat management IT company and ‘protect’ around 50-60% of medium/large businesses worldwide. They have pushed out an update to their falcon sensor that is causing the BSOD on Windows clients. Absolute carnage as the world is stuck in a reboot cycle.

For those that work in IT support, I feel sorry for you today. Grab a bucket of coffee and tell your loved ones you will see them in a couple of days.

It would seem that the World is grinding to halt, so much for dependance on technology. My Vic 20 doesn't seem to be affected?

My Babbage difference engine has gone offline. Just as it was about to give me a solution to the square root of -1, that wasn't imaginary.

Pick your shops. Pick corporates (as more likely to ‘protect’ their systems by Crowdstrike) and use shops that don’t have portable terminals (as normally android or iOS based). You’ll be golden then :)

It very much depends on whether the Tom curse has any effect over there.

My eldest son was due to fly back from Corfu today but, owing to the global IT outage, he might have to wait until Wednesday to be put on a flight.
The poor little lamb is now suffering the indignity of being moved from his hotel room and being put up in a suite with a hot tub on the balcony. <laugh>
Fortunately he is self employed and had left the coming week clear, so he doesn’t have to deal with letdown customers.

My flight to Prague yesterday was delayed nearly three hours, but nothing to do with the IT outage, it was our old friends in French Air Traffic Control.
