don't often start new threads but because I'm feeling pissed off about it here we go, the good, my locals just started thatchers gold. the bad, it's £4.20 a bloody pint. anybody else got any instances?
I was gonna say that. Where the ****s your local.?? £2.85 in my local social club £2.80p for Ashton Press (better =less sweet)
In my local a certain brewery wanted to in fact they did up the price to £3.30 a pint within 3 weeks it went down to £3 but by then they had lost 50%+ of those that drunk it as they got used to drinking a similar brew in the 3 weeks the boycott was on! Landlord sold same number of pints..just that 5 barrels became 2 or 3 and 2 or 3 barrels became 5.. Thatchers gold in a pub should be about £3 -£3.50
The Good - the Brewhouse & Kitchen have just opened in Dorchester The Bad - Gyle Porter was £4.00 a pint To be honest the Good outweighs the Bad - top pub this
suffise to say the brewery concerned are youngs(believe they have a pub on park street), were taken over a few years ago and are now some of the most expensive pubs around.
