    don't often start new threads but because I'm feeling pissed off about it here we go,

    the good, my locals just started thatchers gold.

    the bad, it's £4.20 a bloody pint.

    anybody else got any instances?

    £2.85 in my local social club £2.80p for Ashton Press (better =less sweet)

    £2.89 for a pint of Stella in my local. Although I'll admit, it's an utter **** hole !

    In my local a certain brewery wanted to in fact they did up the price to £3.30 a pint within 3 weeks it went down to £3 but by then they had lost 50%+ of those that drunk it as they got used to drinking a similar brew in the 3 weeks the boycott was on!
    Landlord sold same number of pints..just that 5 barrels became 2 or 3 and 2 or 3 barrels became 5..

    Thatchers gold in a pub should be about £3 -£3.50

    The Good - the Brewhouse & Kitchen have just opened in Dorchester

    The Bad - Gyle Porter was £4.00 a pint

    To be honest the Good outweighs the Bad - top pub this

    suffise to say the brewery concerned are youngs(believe they have a pub on park street), were taken over a few years ago and are now some of the most expensive pubs around.
