anyone else notice the mags whinging about our celebration... It was because all of our team was in our own half... PVA noticed this and ran into their half to stop the ref kicking off!!

Defoes crying as well... It was nowt to do with emotion... He scraped his knee on the pitch surround!! <laugh>

It was a clean tackle that clearly got the ball...However, the way our luck has been this season, I know what you mean..

Must admit in real time I thought it was a pen.

The ref made a good decision, he deserves credit for that.

Newcastle had one chance, that fell to Perez, the kid's been sticking away tidy goals this season, I reckon that fat bin man has probably ruined his confidence good and proper.

When the cliche is used of strikers low on confidence snatching as shots, that chance summed it up perfeclty. The ball had pace on it, just needing to be guided goal wards.

At the time I thought it was a stonewall penalty. Was gutted for a few seconds!

You need a calm head in a derby, or heated rivalry to get the better of your opponents for sure.

Juan Mata and Defoe two of the smallest guys on the pitch, stood tallest for our respective teams <ok>

They have soo much experience in comparison though. Perez has shown enough promise to suggest he might become a good player but some things just come with time.

If that was a penalty then we could have had 20 at least this season...Cracking, clean tackle that won the ball...Talk about clutching at straws..

Even some pundits were saying it was a penalty! I've actually been shouting at my telly 'IT ****ING WASNT!!!!' To me it was nearly a penalty, it looked like a penalty and I could understand if the ref had made a mistake and given it, but I honestly didn't think that it was!!!!

It was definitely a pen! Ridiculous tackle. Otherwise, thought Vergini was excellent.
