Hello, welcome I am HOADIE_BOI and this is the first of my Pre Match Hubs which is an FA Cup Special, this thread is going to be the place for all the Gillingham fans and also Stoke fans to talk across the walls before the game,
On this thread you will find updated information about the game, which I will update every time there is anything new,
This thread is there for the purpose of friendly banter, make sure there is no arguments, debate is great but we don't want any bad comments, which I believe will not happen anyway as these are two very friendly sets of fans who just wanna have a laugh and then focus on the football so now it is your turn, Let the chat begin!

Just found an article from Tony Pulis who says he is excited with coming back to Priestfield, not much said about Scally though, bit the same story for what Scally said today, they are keeping it quiet, here have a read.

On the otherhand Scally has been talking today, the other party who is mainly concerned and here is what he said, he is delighted with the game but he did not want to shed much light onto the circumstances surrounding him and Pulis, he wants to keep the full focus on the game.

I'm going to admit to not knowing a lot about Gills.

Who are your star players, and what sort of football do you play? How are you getting on in the league? Who did you beat to make it to Round 3?

What do you reckon your chances are against Stoke?

Right, to start we are 7th in League 2, so not doing bad,
We have a few good players, goals are spread out, two of the main ones are on loan but we have not been able to use them in the cup, Hopefully signing one of them Jo Kuffour.
    Our best players are
    Flitney- Goal keeper
    Richards- Centre Back
Frampton- Captain, Centre back, bit off form but overall good
Whelpdale- Right Mid, Good with goals
Lee- Central Mid- Great tackling plays Right back aswell as we have shortages in that place
Jack Payne- Amazing overall, young and wanted by a few big clubs
Kedwell- Fans favourite, I know him, he is top scorer, not got going yet but hopefully will show he is a class act

We do play a lot of long ball which I don't like, but most of the time on the floor when we know it is not working, so we play a similar type of football to Stoke as Hessenthaler learnt it from Pulis to play that type of football.
We beat League 1 Bournemouth in the replay at home in the first round 3-2 after a draw away 3-3
We then went on to beat Leyton Orient at first time of asking away from home who are also League 1, 1-0 so good on the road now, amazing as we did have a 37 game run without an away win upto November 2010.
Also Curtis Weston is a good player, just getting his form back, he has been off form for the last year and a half but he is back at his best, once played in an FA Cup final against Man Utd, youngest ever Fa cup final player at 16 years old for Millwall against Man Utd, replaced Dennis Wise at 88 minutes in a 5-0 defeat.

I have a lot of belief in Gillingham and as a Gills fan I have to have this I think we have a chance but everyone will want to think we have a chance we will have to see, we can all say to each other that we think our team will win, no arguments about it though.
Hope that helped you, anymore you wanna know just ask.

Hoadie - We have a 'Peter Crouch' thread also a 'Stoke at home' thread that have been sticky's on our board all day.

We have a 'Mr Pulis' thread that is linked in to the Stoke board, again it has been used by both sets of supporters all day.

Please take some time out to join in and enjoy reading peoples comments on those threads.

I've already merged one of your threads (The Gillingham Vs Stoke Fa Cup Talk Thread) in to the Stoke thread YESTERDAY.

So sorry Hoadie but I am closing this one because I know you will do another two in the week leading up to the match.

I could also do these threads but prefer board members to run the debate not us - I should add that some months back it was voted on our board that I merged threads, I have attempted to do so once and you created another, despite me giving you explanations.
