Well, it's all quiet on here. Not surprising really, since Bernie isn't around to make some politically incorrect statement and Liberty Media don't talk to anyone for fear of offending. So, how about a quiz to keep things going before we all get hideously disappointed that Merc have again found something in the rules which makes them unbeatable, Ferrari are still using technology 2 years out of date and Red Bull start slagging off Renault again? Anything F1 related, pictorial, word question, audio(?), video etc is allowed. A person who gets the right answer will have 24 hrs to put up their own question or someone else can do it to keep it moving. You are all on trust not to use Google or Wikipedia, it's meant to be a test of F1 knowledge past and present. First up, which engine is in the back of this car?
The engine in the back of that car , is the one in the picture ! Seriously though . I am guessing 80s as PL Martini is mentioned , but without cheating , cannot say . Good idea for a thread though
even the photo is a bit of a red-herring, I went for Lambo based on an assumption that turned out to be false, and I think the others have done exactly the same. Sneaky sneaky.
It's a mis-leading photo that hints it's something it's not and I think you've made the same assumption as me.
Bugger... I was going Matra too. It's a fairly obscure one, and ASC gives a big hint with the Italian link. Not going to give it away though as I had to do a bit of checking. That's a good one though.
I think it' a minardi but can't think of another v12 non Italian engine they had??? Im guessing it was something they were testing?
Minardi is correct team, they tested it but never raced it themselves, another team eventually did. I will clarify that the engine was Italian designed and built but was raced(ish) under a manufacturers name who was not Italian.
