Early days I know but he looks the business. Not just because he scored but his movement as well. It's strange, when Derby equalised I thought we'd get a winner, we just looked a different team with him on the park.
Great movement, he looked comfortable on the ball, good dribbler, his header was good and he had pace to burn. But the best thing about him seems to be the way he makes runs behind the defence instead of just standing with his back to goal like Simpson, Aluko, Koren and Proschwitz all do.
Gedo superstar, now we just need Fathi Boom Boom to mix it up in the midfield, great to see a player like Gedo with a bit of fire about him, we've got a few now I noticed Brady has a bit of spark and Meyler too. Fighters who will give us a chance, and maybe get the likes of Prozzy pumped up
He'll do Now I can see why Steve Bruce was down in London sorting out work permits and not in Hull with DJ Campbell
I said gedoblaster first a few posts ago, but no worries, we City fans think as one.As i will say to my Derby workmate about two Egyptians scoring for us it was a Pharoah game. You would think at my age should no better. Hopefully we are on our way
What are the chances of him finishing as our top scorer? 10+ could see us up. It's always good to get carried away ...
I used the "Phar-old" pun first on transfer dead-line day! You sir will be hearing from my legal representatives.
Apologies Melbourne, didn't see it. I suspected it was a bit too obvious and someone might have already used it.
The people who sit behind me, an old lady and her grandson (presumably) who often provide great entertainment for those around us, were making Fathi jokes right up until he scored, only then did they realise it was Gedo... Later on when the ref was getting all screamy at Gedo for standing on top of a Derby free kick, she shouted at the top of her voice "Don't you shout at our hero!" She's always coming out with these great little lines.
That is okay Alan soon the wider world will know of him and Craig my legal reps are Sue,Grabbit and Run
Well impressed so far with Ged-on-ite tonight. But he lacks match fitness at the moment to start a game. imo. I would stick with the same starting 11 for Charlton on saturday (injury permitting) and then see what Simpson and Koren do before any changes. Koren for starters needs a kick up the arse and this maybe it. Its next tuesdays home game with Blackburn that i would be looking at starting Gedo. Dont heap to much pressure on him too soon. Felt so sorry for Nick Proschwitz when he missed that sitter as he got his feet mixed up in added time. At least he was in the position in the first place which is an improvement on recent efforts. This was an ugly win but after losing a classy performance @ Brighton last saturday - frankly i dont give a damn. 3 points is 3 points. Now 2nd, GET IN.
In Dubai so missed the match, but this goal highlights the person in the box we been so badly missing. Three defenders in front of him, great ball in, loses marker and great directional header. None of our other strikers could have done that so well. Lets hope it isn't a one off.
