Was the suggestion that his position in the draft was influenced by the announcement, or just to highlight that a player of his calibre being in that draft position was the only unusual thing about this? Fair play to the player too.
I think he was suggesting that the draft placing made no diff because no one would want him. Well that's what I got. Aye and hats off to Samms, very brave but it had to be done eventually.
