Woking lost their first game of the season to Torquay away on Tuesday evening so are they about to hit a bad patch? Or will they be looking to get back on track? Hmmm not sure yet

I'm not going to be greedy to greedy I'm going for an entertaining 1 - 1 draw . Another goal from Matty Taylor
I'm thinking of a draw too: 2-2 Harrison, Mansell They will be much tougher than Nuneaton and our defence needs to be on top form against Guiseppe Sole who's on fire. UTG!
Let's see how DC approaches this one. Personaly I think we should go for the kill again like we did Tuesday night and make Woking play to our style. But knowing DC he'll give them far to much respect and we'll either draw or lose.
Head says draw 1-1 Heart says win 3-0 Like what Danny said, this depends on how DC sets up for this game. We have beat Halifax at home who were top at the time winning all 5 of their games before playing us. We have beat Wrexham at home who at the time won all of their away before playing us. We drew and kept a clean sheet against Grimsby who are 1 of the favourites. This was our 1st non league game and was on TV and players hadnt gelled yet. Home form shows we can win this game. Going by the performance from Tuesday night and the confidence that would now be spreading through the team, we can easily win this game. Being the home team, we should be favourites to win the game. Set up the same and start in 5th gear all out attack. Make them worry about us not us worry about them. Just make sure we do the basics right at the back and we will be fine with the confidence we have at the moment in the final 3rd to win the game. However if we set up like its an away game showing way too much respect because they are sitting 3rd and was unbeaten until Tuesday night, then they will create a lot of chances because we will allow them time and space with the ball. If we do this then we can easily lose this game like at Braintree and Altrincham. So like Danny says, depending on how DC sets up for this game. I hope DC goes for it and if he does I think we will win 3-0. If he doesnt go for it then I hope we have enough about the team to hold out for a point. I also think the ref will have a major say in this game too. We have had 2 games in a row where the ref was actually good. The lincoln game, you hardly heard the commentators talk about the ref and they never said the ref made a bad decision. The ref on Tuesday let the game flow and didnt want to be centre of attention like a lot of refs have been like in league 2 and the conference this season. The law of averages say we are due another stinker by a ref and the chances of 3 games in a row to getting a decent ref is just too slim.
They're a strong side going forward, but not so strong at the back. If the lads get at them like they did on Tuesday then we'll win... just. One of their strikers played for us for a bit and Giuseppe Sole makes them tick and chips in with lots of assists and a few goals, including spectacular shots and free kicks. Should be a decent game.

Manager on Nuneaton & Woking Darrell Clarke was happy with his side’s performance on Tuesday night but insists there are still plenty of points up for grabs this season. The manager said “Yeah it was a good performance, we played some good stuff at times. “We probably weren’t clinical enough at times but that’s just me nit picking but it was a good all round team performance. “We’re winning games but we’re not getting carried away, we keep saying it’s a tough league and you have to approach every game in the right way. “Every game is a different project, we just keep going about our business and working hard on the training pitch and we still have lots of hard work ahead of us. “There is still a long way to go and plenty of points available.” Woking are up next at the Memorial Stadium and Darrell has said it will be another tough task that his team are ready for. “They’re are a decent side, they have a very experienced non-league manager in Garry Hill and they have a good squad there. “Every game is tough in this league but we’ve already faced some tough teams. “Halifax have come here with a 100% record, Wrexham came here with a 100% away record, so we will just see what Saturday brings.” “I’ve stressed all along that we’ve got our targets, obviously I do look at the table but the concern to me is the next game. “I will definitely spend more time looking at the next team rather than the league table wondering what if. “At the end of the day it’s about us winning as many games in the season and the league table will take care of itself. There is no news on Jamie Turley just yet but the rest of the squad is ready to go for the weekend. “No developments on Jamie, we will just see. It’s a case of waiting for results to come back. "The squad as a whole are fine with no problems."
A Look At Woking F.C. Part 3 - History Part 1 Early Years Woking Football Club, known as the Cards, was formed in 1889. The club joined the West Surrey League in 1895â96, winning the title by one point. However, within 21 years of being formed, the club was in danger of folding for financial reasons. The turning point came when, in January 1908, Woking played Bolton Wanderers in the First Round of the FA Cup, having made it through five qualifying rounds. Despite losing the away game 5â0, the club made it into the national news. Bolton Wanderers, impressed by the minnows they had defeated, travelled to Woking for a friendly match the following season, which kept the club solvent. Isthmian League Years In 1911 the Club joined the Isthmian League, maintaining their place in the top division for 72 years and finishing as runners-up to Wycombe Wanderers in 1956â57. That achievement was eclipsed the following season when, in front of a 71,000 crowd, the Cards beat Ilford 3â0 ton win the last FA Amateur Cup Final to be televised live. The club then went into decline, culminating in a first-ever relegation in 1982â83. By the end of the 1984â85 season the club had plunged to Division Two South of the Isthmian League. It was during that season that former player, Geoff Chapple, was appointed as manager. However, Chapelle was not able to save the club from relegation. The following season, the club just missed out on promotion at the first attempt. However, the club clinched the Division Two South title in 1986â87 and, after two third place finishes in Division One, they were promoted back to the Premier Division at the end of the 1989â90 season. FA Cup Glory The next season saw the club become part of FA Cup folklore. Entering the competition in the Fourth Qualifying Round, they beat three Conference sides to set up a Third Round tie away to West Bromwich Albion. Recovering from being a goal behind, Woking triumphed 4â2, after a hat-trick from Tim Buzaglo. The club was then drawn against Everton. The tie was originally going to be played at Woking, though the venue was switched to Everton's home ground, Goodison Park. Woking narrowly lost the match 1â0 to a Kevin Sheedy goal.
A Look At Woking F.C. Part 3 - History Part 2 Promotion to the Conference and FA Trophy success Promotion to the Conference was achieved in 1991â92. The Isthmian League title was clinched in early April, with seven games still to be played, 18 points clear of nearest rivals, Enfield. The next season saw Woking finish the season in eighth position. The following summer saw Chapple sign former Chelsea, Sunderland, Fulham and QPR winger, Clive Walker, from Brighton & Hove Albion and he was to prove the catalyst in the most successful period in the club's history. The FA Trophy was won in 1994 when Runcorn were beaten at Wembley. Twelve months later Kidderminster Harriers were beaten as Woking became the second club ever to win successive finals. Wembley was revisited in 1997 and the FA Trophy was won for the third time, this time against Dagenham & Redbridge. The Cards also achieved five successive top five finishes in the Conference, including being runners-up in 1994â95 and 1995â96 when they finished below Stevenage. The club also continued to enjoy national prominence in the FA Cup. Barnet were defeated in successive seasons following draws at their homeground. In 1996â97 a run in the FA Cup saw the club beat Millwall, then top of Division Two, and Cambridge United, who were challenging for promotion from Division Three. The Third Round saw Woking draw 1â1 away to Premier League side Coventry City, thanks to a last minute equaliser from the Cards' Steve Thompson, but Coventry won the replay at Kingfield 2â1. At the end of the 1996â97 campaign, having just clinched the FA Trophy for the third time, Geoff Chapple and his coach, Colin Lippiatt, left the club and joined Kingstonian. This was the beginning of a less successful period for the club. John McGovern and then Brian McDermott were given the position of manager, but neither achieved anything greater than a mid-table finish. After McDermott, Colin Lippiatt returned but fared little better. He was replaced by his former boss as Geoff Chapple too came back to Woking. Lippiatt departed in January 2002 and Glenn Cockerill joined as Chapple's assistant. This season ended with the club just one place above the relegation places. In the meantime very significant events had taken place off the field. The downturn in the club's fortunes had led to a financial crisis. With the club facing administration or worse, local businessman and long-time fan Chris Ingram bought the club, becoming chairman in February 2002 with an aim of trying to increase the club's income and to secure its long-term financial stability.[citation needed] Cockerill took over as manager later that year, and oversaw a relative period of stability for the club, before he was sacked shortly before the end of the 2006â07 season. An unimpressive campaign under the management of Frank Gray followed in 2007â08, before a disastrous 2008â09 season which saw three men (Kim Grant, Phil Gilchrist and Graham Baker) take charge of the club, eventually resulted in the club's relegation to the Conference South. That summer, a supporters' trust took over the running of the club. Woking finished 5th in their first Conference South season, but lost to Bath City in the play-off final. The following season saw Woking struggling to challenge for promotion, and Graham Baker was sacked halfway through the campaign for suggesting that the fans were expecting too much of the team. Garry Hill took over as manager and improved the team's form, eventually resulting in another 5th place finish, only for the club to get knocked out in the play-off semi-finals this time against Farnborough. In April 2012, having beaten Maidenhead United 0â1 with Giuseppe Sole scoring for a record breaking ninth game in a row, Woking were promoted to the Conference Premier, winning the Conference South with two games to spare. They eventually reached 97 points, beating 2nd placed Dartford by 9 points.
