If I do come I will buy ticket in advance.
In the past I have not been a great lover of sitting down at football matches. It just seems wrong somehow.
My grandchidren received complimentary tickets for Bristol Rugby v Rotherham so I went with them to Mem today in the Blackthorn. Gotta be honest I wished I could have sat down!
Last time I went to see the Gas I sat in pretty much the same seat as CJS did for Wycombe. No bloody atmosphere at all!
Any way I think we will beat Rotherham, because they are in the nervous 'will we make the play offs' area. That is as long as we don't relax.
One thing is for sure. All of the teams with players who only turn up for the cash are in danger of being turned over by those teams with players who have a real passion for the club they are playing for. Just look at how the lower league teams have performed against higher league opposition in the FA cup.

At the moment the whole Gas operation is singing from the same hymn sheet with a passion I haven't seen for years!!!

Let's get ourselves solidly connected to the mid table group!

i thought hammer was a bit lightweight at times vs wycombe. was nice to see him start instead of woodards who isnt a LW but has done well there. however rotherham is a different type of opposition and i be tempted to play woodards at LW and start richards RW. thats the changes i would make.

I think I'd keep the same team for Rotherham, but make changes away to Morecombe. By then the team will be bloody knackered.

The only change I might make would be Anyinsah as I thought he struggled to make an impact against Wycombe mainly due to the high ball tactics.Anyinsah is not an impact player needs the love and starting berth,If he was replaced it will probably be by Richards or Woodards.

In the last Rotherham game Broghammer was on the bench (just recovered from injury) Richards filled his place,Anyinsah played well and scored one goal, then Harrison came on and scored!

Ward may wish to freshen up the attack however normally he likes to field a winning team so probably no changes.

Last team against Rotherham was

13 Mildenhall
02 Smith
06 Parks
14 Brown
29 McChrystal
15 Norburn
25 Clucas
26 Brunt (Woodards - 81' )
32 O'Toole
10 Richard (Harrison - 50' )
16 Anyinsah (Clarkson - 72' )
Substitutes
20 Gough
04 Woodards
11 Broghammer
21 McDonald
07 Clarkson
17 Harrison
27 Hitchcock

Man In The Middle Vs Rotherham

The referee for Tuesday nights League Two clash at home to Rotherham is James Linington from Newport.

Mr Linington has only been in charge of four games so far this season and has shown 11 yellow cards and has not sent anyone off this season. The last time Mr Linington was in charge of a Rovers game was the 3-0 away defeat to Oxford United back in October 2011. Cian Bolger, Lee Brown and Byron Anthony were all booked in that game.

Mr Linington will be assisted by Mark Pottage and Ronald Ganfield and the
Fourth Official will be Robert Ellis.

TEAM NEWS

Bristol Rovers have no new injury or suspension concerns for the rearranged game with Rotherham.
Rovers manager John Ward is likely to name the same side that beat Wycombe 1-0 on Saturday - their sixth win in eight games.
Rotherham are still without midfielder Michael O'Conner who serves the last match of his three-game ban.
Defender Craig Morgan, who has been out since November with a foot injury, could be in contention.

VIEWS FROM THE TRAINING GROUND

Bristol Rovers manager John Ward told BBC Radio Bristol:
"We played Rotherham recently and I'm pretty sure they will be smarting a bit from that defeat.
"We're quite happy to entertain them and see if we can beat them again.
"But they had an excellent result on Saturday [1-0 win over Chesterfield] with 11,000 people there.
"We're playing a team who is in good nick at the moment so we've got to look the same."

Bristol Rovers boss John Ward issues Rotherham United backlash warning

Bristol Rovers boss John Ward has warned his players to be ready for a Rotherham United backlash when the two sides meet at the Memorial Stadium tomorrow night (7.45pm).
Rovers entertain Steve Evans' promotion-chasing side less than a month on from securing a surprise 3-1 victory at the New York Stadium during a run of form that has seen Ward's men ease their relegation fears.

Rotherham, however, have since won three of their last four games to put themselves right back in the mix for one of the three automatic promotion spots and Ward said: "We played them pretty recently and I'm sure they will be smarting from the way we won that game at their place.
"It makes it a bit harder for us because I know that it hurt them. They will not forget that and I'm pretty sure that Steve Evans will be saying to his players before the game that they owe us one after what happened that day.

"They have been in good form themselves since and had an excellent result to beat Chesterfield 1-0 on Saturday in front of 11,000 people, so we are going to have to play really well if we are to beat them again.
"We'll take confidence from the game up there, though. It is those sorts of results that have served to increase the belief amongst our players that we can win these types of games against teams going for promotion."
Rovers, meanwhile, moved seven points clear of the relegation zone following Saturday's 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers at the Memorial Stadium, but Ward warned: "We can't accept that we are safe until we have achieved it mathematically.
"Any team can go on a winning run, but they can also just as easily lose a few games. We have had some good results, but football is unpredictable.
"There are some other teams down around the bottom, the likes of AFC Wimbledon and Barnet, who are starting to pick up points here and there, so we have to keep our foot on the pedal.
"If any of my players or the supporters thinks everything is done then I would tell them that they are wrong. We need to keep pushing until safety is absolutely certain."
Ward is expected to make minimal changes to his starting line-up again – but expects to make full use of his squad over the coming weeks.
"We have a run of Saturday and Tuesday games for the next three weeks," he said. "That in itself brings its own problems if we pick up knocks along the way.
"I am not the biggest fan of squad rotation unless it is forced upon us for one reason or another, so I'll always pick what I think is the strongest team for every game.
"Of course, the guys on the bench are disappointed at times when they are not playing, but they know they will get the chance to play a part over the next few weeks due to the amount of games we have in front of us."

Bristol Rovers v Millers, Preview From Rotherham's End

The Millers travel to Memorial Stadium to face Bristol Rovers on Tuesday after a comfortable victory over local rivals Chesterfield at the weekend.

Steve Evans guided his side to a 1-0 win over Paul Cook's Spireites at New York Stadium with a goal from captain Johnny Mullins proving the difference between the two sides last Saturday.

However, the scoreline didn't flatter the Millers who dominated large parts of the Yorkshire-Derbyshire affair in front of a packed crowd in Rotherham.

Craig Morgan took part in the warm up prior to the game with Chesterfield on Saturday and will be considered for selection in Tuesday's squad, as he looks to regain full fitness following his ankle injury.

Scott Shearer remains sidelined through injury, while midfielder Michael O'Connor will serve the final game of his three match suspension after receiving a red card at Burton Albion.

Saturday's win means that the Millers move up to sixth in nPower League Two and trail third placed Burton by a point, but boast the advantage of two games in hand over the Brewers.

Tomorrow's hosts have undergone a change in fortunes recently which has seen them climb away from the drop zone in the table and find themselves in 18th under the guidance of John Ward.

Evans' men met with the Pirates as recently as January 26 in the league, as they were defeated 3-1 at New York Stadium.

Goals from Lee Brown, Ellis Harrison and Joe Anyinsah established a comfortable lead for the West Country side, before David Noble's spectacular effort provided the Millers a consolation late on.

One To Watch: 28-year-old Joe Anyinsah is a forward renowned for his pace and trickery and has an impressive CV which has seen him accumulate a total of 201 club appearances. Anyinsah's versatility means he can spearhead the attack or operate on the flanks in the Rovers team. The Bristol-born forward has played for both of his hometown clubs, having started his professional career at Bristol City in 2004. Anyinsah signed for the Pirates in 2011 and has appeared 55 times for the club, scoring 12 goals, one of which came against the Millers earlier this year.

Top Goalscorer: David Clarkson tops the scoring charts at the Memorial Stadium with a total of seven goals this season. The former Motherwell and Bristol City man, has appeared for his native Scotland on two occasions, scoring a goal in an international friendly against Czech Republic. The Scottish forward has averaged around a goal every three games since his arrival at Rovers, having made 21 appearances in his time at the club.

WARD - THEY WILL BE HURTING

Manager on tomorrow night's game

John Ward thinks the fact that Rovers beat Rotherham on their own turf less than one month ago will make them dangerous opposition tomorrow night.

Rotherham are another in form team, and the manager believes that they will be looking to claim revenge.

John said: “We have played them recently and I am pretty sure they are smarting from that result and I know it hurt them.

“We are happy to entertain them and see if we can beat them again, but we are going to have to play really, really well.

“They had an excellent result on Saturday, and by all accounts they could have won that considerably more than 1-0. They are a team that is in form.

“We can take confidence from the fact we beat them recently and we now think that we can beat these teams.

“They are a top three chasing side, they have a brand new ground and a good budget to go and get players, so I guess they are looking at automatic promotion.

“Whilst the play offs wouldn’t be a disappointment I am guessing it is their second choice.

“We are up against a team who that really has pushed on to try and get themselves into the next division next season, and that is something we have to contend with.”

The manager says he is not a fan of the rotation system, but believes most of his squad will be used in the coming weeks as the games start coming thick and fast.

He said: “I will pick what I think is the best team for the game. I am not a major fan of rotation systems or anything like that.

“These guys want to play, and who am I to stop them the way they are going. The squad will get tested over the next few weeks, I think pretty much the full squad will be used at some stage.

“If we look at the fixture list it is Saturday/Tuesday for the next few weeks and that in itself brings problems or it can be good if we get through without any bumps and bruises and keep the consistency of the team together and keep the play consistent.

“We have a group of players who get on very well, the guys work hard and get on fine together.

“Whilst the lads on the bench want to play and will be disappointed when they are not selected to start, they are ready to come on and do it.

“The players are ready and what ever is required of them at the moment they are getting on with it.”

The manager will have the same group of players to pick from that he did for Saturday’s game against Wycombe.

He said: “There are no doubts for tomorrow’s game, everyone is fit and well. We have all survived Saturday, and when your team is doing well, everyone wants to play in it, which is just as well, as I don’t have a big squad and I cannot make it any bigger at the moment.”

And despite the optimism around the Memorial Stadium, the manager will not be excepting safety until it is mathematically assured.

“We cannot except we are safe until we are mathematically. Any team can lose a run of games and any team can win a run of games. Football is not predictable, anybody can beat anybody.

“We have got to keep our foot on the pedal, if any of my players, myself or the supporters think everything is done then they are wrong.”

And speaking of the crowd, the manager says they have been fantastic since his return to the club.

“The crowd are fantastic and they have been really good since I have come back in. They have seen the team’s commitment and the team then see the supporter’s commitment. There is now a togetherness there between the team and the support.”

I think we'll do very well to get anything from this one, because Rotherham are the form away side in League 2.

Hopefully we can grind out a draw or nick a win, but I think this is a tough one.

i got this as 1-1. a win be great but even if we lose, as long as we fight to the end and not allow it to be easy for them then fair enough. we wont win every game but i expect under JW a comitted and passionate performance.

I reckon a 2-2 draw tonight.
