How? Green belt land was sold to Steve Lansdown for development, the Winterstoke road car park was also sold by the council to the project without anybody else being able to bid for it, planning permission given for a ground and huge supermarket, rate payers money spent on a world cup bid and legal fees, fees which are being paid back to constituents of BS3 who fought the council.
A development on green belt was always going to be a risk. The opposition is not from the council but residents of Ashton Vale and long Ashton.
