left ourselves with too much to do with defeats at home to Cardiff and Burnley. Realistically we have no chance now. Onwards and upwards for next season.
Should all be grateful how far we've come since October/November. Still is a tad depressing and there's still clearly a lot of work to be done
Yeah certainly a bridge too far now, really disapointing for it all to fizzle out with another 10 games still to be played, it'd be nice if we could of had an exciting run in but the lack of goal scorers meant it was always going to be a tough ask. (McLean can be considered a major flop in that department so far). All thats left now is to sit back and laugh at leeds as they **** up in the play-offs AGAIN.
its a disappointment yes, but we have come on so far in the last few months and if not for the lousy start to the season things would be so much different. Still its a young side more or less and maybe another season together in the Championship will make them even better and more prepared for the Premier League. Though there are still 10 games to go we could manage to sneak in if things were to go our way, stranger things have happened UTT
Don't give up too easily! If you heard Rosenior on the radio after, the Players aren't giving up. I haven't either.
It's a huge ask but who knows! Funny things happen in football. We have exceeded expectations for this season by a long shot which is a fantastic achievement and the Allams have played a massive part as a catalyst. It's a funny old league!
i arent at all depressed but then i didnt and dont expct playoffs this season but its not over till it is. i expect more for next season and i am pleased with progress.
no point ending teams 36 game home records, if you cant back it up yourself at home... weird, how that was probably the most chances we have created in 1 game all season, normally only create 1 or 2 and 1 goes in.. would have been nice to keep in the mix for a few more weeks, hope it doesnt fizzle out into a boring end of season..
as i said with 10 games to go there is still something to play for, we still can make the playoff's the teams above us have barely put a foot wrong all season, so are due a few mistakes and hopefully that does happen and we can capitalise on it
Last night was an opprtunity missed to get within touching distance of the play offs especially as only TWS got a win. Burnley were good in the first half but we outplayed them by far in the second. I think Eddie Howe is a great manager and did better than most to keep our strikers and midfield quiet for much of the game, they came here to nick a goal or 2 and sit back and defend which they did. 2nd half we were by far the better team so what Pearson said to them at half time worked...sign of a good manager also. We were unlucky not to score at least 1 but thats football. Play offs are a big ask now but then many on her would have been happy with safety considering what happened at the end of last season so to finish around where we are now is a bit of a bonus. What we all have to remember (hard as it may be), this team is a work in progress and a mid to high table finish outside the top 6 is probably what was expected this season. We can all now look forward to the demise of TWS back to mid table, at worst, losing in the play offs, hopefully at Wembley so we can read all about how unlucky they were and that they will win the league next year because they are the biggest team with the biggest support and they once were in Europe balh blah blah. For me it has been a good season, 10 games to go so anything can happen but last night we were out thought by a talented young manager who will go far. UTT
god I ****ing hate Burnley, really ****ing hate them. Still, i'm delighted with where we are, considering how we started the season, and am really really looking forward to next year, if we can perform like we have in the last 3 months for a whole season we'll be up there at the end of the year
I didn't expect us to make the play-off's this season, so I'm not really surprised about last nights result, though we had so many chances that I still thought we'd at least get a draw(at least up until about the 80 minute mark).
