... I see as an extremely important game that could define who we get in and how we perform in the future. This is because of the upcoming international break. Each season I believe its crucial to go into the international break on a high and today we have a great chance of that. With a win we could find ourselves in the top 2 or 3 which would be how we spend the entire international break.

In the last 3 days of the transfer market proceeding this game the look of the table could be used to persuade some of the european players we've been linked with ie pieters, cisse.. I think its important to understand the fact that despite Newcastle having recent history in the largest European competitons going, the players we have been linked with who seem to be in their very early 20s will most likely be unaware of our European involvement. The chances are if they know of Newcastle at all it will be of us being relegated.

For me this adds a bit of pressure to todays game but a win would certainly be a sweet one.

Really? I'd obviously rather go into it with three points, but I'd rather the international break didn't coincide with an unbeaten run because it checks your momentum.

For me it's important to start winning these winnable home games, we threw too many points away in these types of game last season.

We need to be beating Fulham at home if we want to get into Europe. These are the games we stuggled in last season, the home games against equal or slightly weaker opposition.

Europe is out of our reach, top 10 more likely.

Either way, on a match to match basis, we're doing better than last season. If we want to continue we have to win the games that we drew last season

I thought that all round was a good home performance, we looked strong. Best shown he can still cut it in the squad and should play every match, and defensively we looked very good. Only reason we conceded the goal was because of a small error by Krul, who all round had a cracking game. HWTL.
