    Morning all,

It goes without saying that this weekend's clash against Stoke is a huge game. Martin Jol is living on the edge and it will interesting to see him pip his managerial skills against none other than Mark Hughes, the man he replaced.

Perhaps more significant though, will be the way in which the players perform. They like everyone else know that Big Mart needs some wins and i really hope that they pull the socks up and galvanise in their support for him. Their reaction to our current situation will give us a good indicator whether he has them on board. It is going to be a tough game, both physically and mentally, the players are going to have to work themselves into the ground.

Key player for me will be Karagounis. His leadership skills and style of play could dictate how we play. I would hand him the captain's armband and request he leads by example.

Come on you whites we need a massive performance out of you.

    Morning...

I hear what you say. And agree on most points.

The only point I am sceptical though is Kara given the captaincy. That will reflect awful to Hangeland and might be perceived a Jol being desperate.

    Come on you Whites

He has a right to be desperate if you look at our form since 1st April 2013:

    LDLLLLW-WLLDLL

Arguably with two different teams before and after the break ( - ) and each with the same poor run of results.

If Jol is still with us for the Stoke game he needs above all to motivate the players. Sacking the Captain will not achieve that. Beyond any rhetoric that takes place, he needs look each player in the eye and see who is prepared to fight for the Team and the Club.

These stats make me think twice and three times every time that I give Jol more of my support and together to some of his "beloved" players...
