Morning I feel like a kid at Xmas I'm so excited by the team at present! But am thinking about our future team after this and the next window Gk - think we a pretty sorted mig looks better after his facial phantom of the opera facial reconstruction! Defence - do we need another cb? Matt has looked assured and decent next to o'shea? The full backs albeit temps also look quality over the last few games! Needum n bridge on loan? Midfield - how good is mcclean looking gets me excited (in an arca kind of way!) everytime he gets the ball how god could he get? Centre mid looks sorted catts looking international standard once again! And Larson is better than expected! So any addittions needed? Up top - bendy flatters to deceive although I like him while sess is great his shooting is shocking! I was excited b Campbell before his injury and Connor looks quality so do we wait?? Such lovely predicaments at the moment and my rose tinted Safc specs are telling me this team is good enuff to beat barca!!!!
Definitely need a striker and, personally, I'd get Nedum in permanently not on loan - Bridge is ****e (IMO). Nedum can play anywhere across the back 4 and is good defensively and attacking!! He's a good player. All in all we do need to strengthen as we need the players to cover for injuries as well as anything else but the side, as I said at the start of the season, is not a bad group of players - I wouldn't swap it for those of teams around us (3 above a\nd 3 below - Newcastle, Stoke, Norwich, Everton, Swansea or Villa. I would take certain individuals but not swap the first team or squads Bruce can obviously get decent players in but can't get them playing correctly - motivation and tactics are his blatant downfall...
Looking at the league we are currently 2nd in the latest form guide (last six games) behind Man U. We have the third highest goals for outside the top five, and only two teams outside the top five have conceded fewer (Liverpool and Everton). Things really are looking very good indeed.
Ned in on a permanent, young, english, athletic, covers all across the backline and knows the players/area. Another striker also pleeeeez Marty, someone to replace Bendy when he goes back to Arsenal at the end of the season (think his wages/ego/off field antics will seal his fate). Midfield looks pretty strong at the mo but unless we get cover in defence then I guess midfield is also looking sparce with having to play Jack and Gardner aka roberto carlos at fullbacks. Either way I agree the future looks a hell of a lot rosier then a month ago!
