I just pressed on Brighton`s page in error, nothing happening.....Derby somebody mentioned...nothing, and as for Barnsley, forget it! Are we the only reasonably busy posters?
What do they actually get out of setting it up...it can`t be advertising revenue....will it last, and where would we chickens go?<steam>

Great variations in activity across the country. 10 Championship clubs with reasonable to good use, Wurzels, us, Hull, Ipswich, Leeds, Leicester, Millwall, Pompey, Saints and Watford then others like Barnsley, Burnley, Donny with very low numbers of posts. It can't even relate to supporters numbers as Derby still have one of the highest average home gates but very few posts, similar with West Ham.

In the Prem, Newcastle has the largest site with over 14,000 threads and over 430,000 posts whereas West Brom, Wigan and Wolves have very few.

I don't know why some clubs support Not 606 and others don't. I guess those fans not on here must have some other sites they prefer, perhaps more directly lnked to their own clubs where they don't have discussion with fans from other clubs.

    Swamp/Siam, any ideas?

Most clubs have a few boards to choose from, we have the official one on the Cardiff City website, very few posters.

Mike Morris & Annis Abraham both have message boards. I tried MM but too much politics and non football rubbish on there, never tried AA.

    Blue,

You are right. Sites that are club based in general do better than open forums. Many people want to chat among posters in a safer environment. Less bullies ;)

As an example, Brighton has a forum called North Stand Chat which is very active. We are an active board on not606, but in reality that comes down to 10 - 15 posters make valuable contributions nearly daily.

As for the future of not606, we can't be certain unless the big kahuna makes some announcement.

If anybody really wants to know, I can ask. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Good post <ok>

I was beginning to think the same thing! Each week when we do a cross thread with the likes of Palace, Boro, West Ham, Burnley etc we get nothing from the opposing fans. The only time we get banter going is with you guys, Watford, Southampton and Portsmouth. On the prem boards we always have the banter with our budgie friends but that's about it!

I have trawled across many boards in such of other Prediction Leagues and ideas so don't forget Plymouth and Gillingham! The good thing bout the original 606 was that there were numerous fans from each club but it seems we're all dispersed across different forums now :/

Can always rely on you Cling!

Just across the county from you at the moment on one of my regular visits to Cheltenham. Hopefully get an early dart tomorrow so I get home in time to have dinner before sitting down for radio Wales commentary.

    You mean predictable, don't you!

So you've added to the growing number of Bluebirds known to be in the county. I recently found out that my window cleaner is a Bluebird and he's giving me a lift down for the game tomorrow. He reckons the ayatollah has helped with his cleaning technique......or was it the other way round.

Hope your timetable works for you mate and that you have a safe journey home.

Jealous of you going to the game tomorrow. Enjoy.

Can't have a sensible footy conversation in the office over here, they're all Liverpool and ManU fans (?).

    Yo Clingo,

My sister lives in Cam near Dursley, she knows not to phone when the city are playing. Taught her well.

Rhondda, I go down to Cam from time to time to see an old muso mate of mine. He too knows not to ring when the Bluebirds are playing. If we carry on like this, we can bring the whole telephone network to a standstill in Glossershire!

    Remote. No Wrexham fans there?
I'm hoping to spend a couple of days up at Helsby in the summer. Anywhere near you?

    Home and ready for tea.

No Wrexham fans in Cheltenham. Not many Cheltenham fans either. I have found one in the Chester office I visit.

I live in Northwich, so only 15 miles from Helsby.

Big game tonight, speak on the match thread later.
