Before Kaca left it might have been a quiz question as to who was the fastest prlayer at the Club. Now the answer is a no-brainer - Ryan Fredericks. As a youngster he clocked an amazing 11.1 seconds for 100m. Ryan joined last summer from Bristol City for something around £200k. In the season just gone I was surprised that he played 36 league games, but then came the rub ... he only played the full 90minutes in 12 of them. And a significant reason for that was his dodgy hamstring(s). Sure his time on the field was also affected by manager tactics and to an extent his consistency (or lack of it). Some have also questioned whether his defensive skills are good enough for a right back. Those disruptive injuries were nonetheless a big contributing factor in all of that though and there's no doubting how well he did when Slavi opted for a 5-3-2 formation. And bear in mind the lad is only 23 years old. The What if? What if he can get himself physically fit pre-season, then do we have a match winner on our hands?
