It really is folks! Here is an extract from an interview by 'People Management' with our HR Director, Robert Ordever:

Does HR get involved with the first team?

I have a fantastic player care team, who are responsible for the pastoral care of the players and their families – making sure they’re OK, setting up their council tax, getting them English lessons. When players are developing through the ranks, we offer financial awareness, educate them about social media and just grow them as people, even teaching them how to use a washing machine.

I want players who’ve played for really big clubs to leave Fulham saying: “It’s the place I was best looked after and felt most at home.” And as we are hearing that coming from people like Danny Murphy and John Arne Riise, who’ve played for some of the best clubs in the world, we know we are getting it right.

And a link to the full article, which (I think) re-inforces that we are a caring Club: http://www.cipd.co.uk/pm/peoplemanagement/b/weblog/archive/2013/07/26/interview-with-robert-ordever-people-development-director-fulham-fc.aspx
