Nice touch fron their club and it makes me feel proud of our club and the way they treated the event! http://www.hitchintownfc.co.uk/cgi-local/news/viewnews.cgi?id=20150803135892512541
Nice touches all round but i still say why? Surely a game against some 'decent' opposition as it is the nearly start of season would have made more sense to me.
I think the progressive build-up through the pre-season was well managed. That match was primarily for fitness, with two different sides each time. As the letter says, City could have pulled out having been promoted to the PL, but we didn't, and I for one am glad that we are that sort of club. Well done all.
Preseason football is not just about game time & tactics etc it's also bridge building & using our position to help the smaller clubs. Yes the game time etc is very important but reaching out to smaller clubs in lower leagues is important too.
I back down Rick and Rich. You have made very valid points! My comment was not meant to be nasty, it was genuinely asking the quetion, but your comments have humbled me. That is not meant to sound patronising in case JK is going to respond.
