    Very depressing when you lived through it, brilliant untill the last few matches, Banks Stringy Gibson Mclintock ect now that was a great city team..Dam am I that old already..now that is depressing....LOL

    that was my first season as a match going fan having previously seen them in the 61 cup final on b&w tv as a 10 year old.
    i went to my first match in october 1962 and got hooked.
    i was there behind the goal for that 4-3 win over man utd and i dont think to this day that i have seen a better player than denis law.
    it was a fantastic match and i lost my soprano voice for days.
    probably the best city team of all time

    I wasn't even born then, I guess season 96/97 was my Waterloo, to repeat that would be amazing :D

    mclintock king and appleton---what a halfback line that was
    and gibson was probably the most skillful leicester player of the last 50 years
