The Football League Show THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE SHOW,The head of sport for the BBC is thinking of binning this program, as you all can see there has not been a highlights package for all of Christmas and the New year, which goes to show how much the BBC is interested in the lower leagues. Please could all fans get together and bombard the head of BBC SPORT with letters of support for this program, because we really do not want to lose it.
To be honest the Football League coverage on the Beeb is crap anyway and I think that SKY would do a much better job!
As much as I agree with you that the football league coverage isn't great on the BBC, its ok considering how many games they have to fit into it and Sky would definitely not do a better job!!!
I can't be arsed with the Football League Show. I tend to see the Championship stuff on Goals on Sunday and the BBC website.
PTC Sky have numerous sports channels that they could easily accomodate the Football League games onto. Most of their football pundits are top notch unlike Steve Claridge and Rosenior who have all the charisma of a crisp packet!
Have to disagree with you there JWM, not a fan of Sky Sports coverage, its pretty poor, everything on the BBC is always much more proffessional. Although I do enjoy watching Sky Sports News when the football is on because it can be pretty funny generally because the presenters are funny but they're punditory is very good.
i'm afraid the beeb seem far more interested in putting eastenders on every funking day of the week than covering sport. f1 pretty much going, wimbledon expected to be the next to go to sky and now the football league... i've even heard that they will not renew their interest in the premier league and match of the day when that contract runs out. they aren't interested in sport anymore and that disappoints me, especially as we ALL pay for their bloody channels whether we want to or not!
