No not the slightly cheesy 80's rock song but the start of season is within touching distance. Thoughts on top 6 from you all. Here's mine. Top 2 to be fought out between Wigan and qpr. Next 4 in no particular order Watford, forest, reading and town.
It really is a tough league to call this year, looking through the teams I wouldn't be surprised if alot of them finished top or bottom empitomised by QPR who could romp the league easily but could also completely combust and get relegation For me Reading are the only one's I'm sure will be near the top, I think we'll be up there because we're likely to be consistent in a very inconsistent league (we won't be embroiled in a relegation battle) other than that no idea!! Although I would say Barnsley may surprise a few people this season, I've been very impressed with Flitcroft since he's been there.
Top 6 I reckon in this order. Wigan Reading ------------- Leicester Watford Ipswich Bolton Bottom 3 Millwall Donny Yeovil
My Complete guess: Bolton Reading -------- Florists Leeds Huddersfield Leicester Ipswich 9th Bottom 3 Doncaster Wendies Millwall
So your tipping my club Millwall for the drop, obviously going by last season eh?,not impressed by our signings!!
No one really has any idea of what is going to happen, but based on your end of season form and a new manager at the helm I'd say the Wall are looking a bit vulnerable if they get off to a bad start.. That said, some of the signings are half decent in Chaplow & Mcdonald but without Trotter for the start of the campaign and no Kenny Jackett I would think millwall need to get a good start in order to get some momentum as I can't see you keeping too many clean sheets & a lot depends on Mcdonald & Morro performing in order to score a few goals..... though the same could apply to a lot of teams
To be honest any number of teams could go up or down as I think this leaque is the hardest to call for promotion and relegation and I'm sure we all didn't predict Wolves to get relegated,I'm glad were one of a handful by a lot of fans to go down as we like the underdog tag,but I have to say Ipswich could be the dark horse of the pack for me this season if their hard to beat at portman road.
Blackburn look like they have a pretty handy squad aswell, they seem to have turned a corner. Blackpool have potentially got a very good attacking line but are very thin on numbers!! And actually Huddersfield are assembling a decent squad and Leeds are also ......actually looking through we look to have one of the weaker squads in the division but we look really strong defensively compared to alot of teams and also have a full squad in that we have players competing in every position all who the manager wants here, it looks like most other teams are still desperately trying to get players in and have gapping holes in certain areas
based only on what ive been reading on here and what i can remember from the end of last season 1.Reading 2.Watford 3. Leicester 4. Forest 5. Wigan 6. QPR We will finish in 10th, the play-offs mathematically becoming out of reach 3 games before the end of the season.
