This is a thread for FIFA fans. Once again it is that time of year. On 30th September FIFA 12 is released so what ratings do we think we'll get as a team and individual players. Or what would you like. For me: Davis 69 Bialkowski 64 Richardson 68 Butterfield 65 Fonte 72 Martin 67 Seabourne 63 Jaidi 66 Harding 68 Dickson 65 Fox 71 (yet to judge) De Ridder 72 Chaplow 68 Hammond 71 Schneiderlin 72 Cork 74 Holmes 67 Lallana 75 (at least plus 5 star skills and weak foot etc) Barnard 71 Connolly 70 Guly 70 Lambert 73 (80+ FK accuracy) They are my own opinions. Obviously we won't know until it comes out but I think some of those scores I gave were fair. Opinions... COYR!
i'd give martin and seabourne 65 or 66, but martin with a lot of potential to improve. maybe give connolly a higher rating, but otherwise i'd agree
I think that most of them are a couple of points to high. Although I agree, I think EA wont. For the most part I think you can take the ratings we had on Fifa 11 and add about 5-7 points, maybe 10 for players like Fonte, Lambert and Lallana.
Don't forget that Chris Brunt was rated at 58 last year, having just been one of West Brom's best players (2009/10) as they won promotion to the Premier League. You can never rely on EA to give fair or accurate ratings.
The first number is what i'd like and think is fair the secound is what I think we will get. Davis 70 67 Bialkowski 65 63/4 Richardson 68 65 Butterfield 65 64 Fonte 74 69 Martin 68 62 Seabourne 65 63 Jaidi 66 66 Harding 69 66 Dickson 64 62 Fox ?? ?? De Ridder 69/70 (with 5 star skills) 67 (with sadly 3 star skills) Chaplow 68 65 Hammond 71 66 Schneiderlin 73 67 Cork 72 70 (probably less now he's not a chelsea player) Holmes 65 63 Lallana 77 (as far as I'm aware the cap for championship players is 75 though.) (at least plus 5 star skills and weak foot etc) 73 (will be 3-4 star skills GRR) Barnard 69 67 Connolly 72 67 Guly 71 (With at least 4 star skills and flair, but low consistency) 69 Lambert 74 (80+ FK accuracy, 85+ penaltys) 72 This is also being very optimistic, I think we will be 3 star at best with very average and ****e ratings due to us being newcomers to the league, although I will say that I will just edit the players until they are acceptable. One final comment, Chamberlains rating if he had stayed with us 70 now he's at arsenal 76 with an update by christmas making him 80 I'd put money on that one.
"as far as I'm aware the cap for championship players is 75 though" Bellamy was above, Taarabt was 75 or 76 I *think*...
Bellamy was a loan, hence his high rating and I think taarabt was 75 although I stand to be corrected on that one!
EA do know research, they just follow the media hype... For example I bet Chamberlain will now be 75+ Lallana is ten times better than him. I agree some of my ratings are a little high but if I don't like them I'll alter them slightly so that it is more realistic to the player...
Think it might be worth chucking in lambert to that list seeing as for fifa 11 he was the lower league player they talked to and used in advertisements the most, google rickie lambert fifa 11 and you'll see what I mean. Not sure if he's got the same role for 12 but regardless I reckon he'll make it over the 70 barrier.
We've got to remember the lines of Maynard, probably the division's best striker (bar Bellamy) was a 72, and Barnard is more than a tiny bit worse than him.
Fair point I've got barnard being put as a 67 so 5 points worse, but I wouldn't be surprised to see barny at a 65 which is 7 points worse. Probably fair to be honest. Fingers crossed the spanish players won't walk on water as gods of Fifa this year!
FIFA ratings are always pretty random. I think for the most part they just guess. And how come Lambert was rated 70, scored 37 goals in a season and his rating went down?
I remember when I bought the first edition of Pro Evo which didn't have Saints in it, so I built the team from scratch. Just for the hell of it, I also built one Saints side with all my favourite ex-Saints players in it, going to a lot of trouble to make them look as much like the individual players, from the past, as I could. I also gave them the best combination of skills, power, stamina, you name it, it was possible to have, and then played Man U at OT on level 5 [or 6 was it..?] for the longest game possible. My Saints team absolutely blew them away. It was so satisfying.
I'll have a go - two ratings, what I think they should be and in bracketswhat I think they will be. Davis 70 (68) Bialkowski 66 (62) Richardson 68 (64) Butterfield 63 (64) Fonte 70 (68) Martin 63 (61) Seabourne 63 (63) Jaidi 66 (64) Harding 68 (65) Dickson 65 (61) Fox 70 (69) De Ridder can't really say (68, based on what he is this game) Chaplow 65 (65) Hammond 67 (64) Schneiderlin 69 (67) Cork 71 (68) Holmes 63 (62) Lallana 75 (70) Barnard 66 (65) Connolly 69 (67) Guly 68 (67) Lambert 71 (69)
I made an Ultimate Team this year that was a Saints XI. I was/am very hard to beat even for people with Golds and top IFs lol. Planning to do the same this time should be fun
Davis 68 Bialkowski 62 Richardson 67 Butterfield 67 Fonte 71 Martin 64 Seabourne 63 Jaidi 68 Harding 69 Dickson 65 Fox 71 De Ridder 70 Chaplow 68 Hammond 73 Schneiderlin 71 Cork 74 Holmes 67 Lallana 75 Barnard 71 Connolly 70 Guly 69 Lambert 74 I don't agree with most of them but FIFA rarely pay much attention to 'lesser teams'. My freind once told me that a bournemouth player of Fifa a few years ago was black in the game yet in real life he was white...
Davis 99 Bialkowski 98 Richardson 98 Butterfield 99 Fonte 99 Martin 99 Seabourne 98 Jaidi 98 Harding 98 Dickson 98 Fox 99 De Ridder 98 Chaplow 98 Hammond 99 Schneiderlin 99 Cork 99 Holmes 98 Lallana 99 Barnard 98 Connolly 98 Guly 98 Lambert 99 i thought long and hard about my predicted ratings, then thought i lov them all, haha .
