With Southampton having accepted a 10.5m bid from us for Nathaniel Clyne. The fear is we turn one of the best full backs last season into dog ****. 2 seasons ago Lambert,Lallana and Lovren had good stats and a few heads talking them up. We barged in overpaid and ended up with 3 wasters tbh. Surely 4th time lucky eh. P.s. were utd in for Clyne or was it just those pesky newspapers spreading lies to make us feel good when he joined us ?
Well I think it is a worry - I think Clyne isn't that great defensively, and that's with having 2 great CM's in front of him. He won't have that protection at LFC and Rodgers is clueless defensively. One thing is for sure and that is Clyne is better than Johnson.
I like Clyne, but his form since Jan has been average at best. Glad we've cashed in on him now, because I had the feeling he was just going to sit the last year of his contract out like he did with Palace. Looking forward to seeing him exposed & under a microscope, can he cope, we shall see.
Clyne a runner. An up and down kerchant . I called him a unit when in fanboy persona. He's ok. For 10mil another English player on the pile. If the rule is 13 max foreign in squad of 25 this helps us again. Our 12 are Henderson Milner Clyne Ings Allen Wisdom Ibe Lallana Sturridge Flanagan Our 13 foreign are Mingolet Bogdan Moreno Lovern Sahko Toure Coutinho Lucas Ilori Formino Can Markovic Now that ignores lambert borini balotelli Coates enrique We basically have one more foreign slot with new rules and 2 more English slots still.
Bloody Hell- I go away for a few weeks and when I get back Joe Allen's gone all English on me. Can't trust anybody these days......
Yes the way ones were singing his praises etc and then when it's done the chumps are on whining about how average he is and how bad he treated them. Funnily.... They've nothing to say on his replacement though. Best of luck with that.
Well that's quite clearly bollocks as I posted on your transfer rumour thread this morning that I think he will be a good signing for you. Let's try not to generalise eh?
