.. to the end of season permutations ... wobbly bum time but more for the teams ahead of us than for us .. we are still very much an outside bet ... but if a bloke called 'Bubba' can win the US Masters then anything might be possible... least it looks like our season may go down to the wire... Pressure is off us. Win on Saturday and Brighton, Boro, Blackpool and Cardiff will be looking over their shoulder nervously as we'd be arriving as the in-form team. BUT could we beat either West Ham, Brum and two of the 4 mentioned over two legs?
Yes - As if we made the playoffs our form would be better than both of those. If not us then the teams in 5th and 6th need to be in good form to make those positions so I don't think the play-offs are predicable.
The play offs are anyones. West Ham mentally might struggle in the play offs after throwing automatic promotion away.
Birmingham are nothing to fear as we proved. If Matt Mills hadn't of got himself sent off at their place then i reckon we would of at least got a point from that game. At home they got a dubious penalty but apart from that Kasper didnt have much to do and we look pretty decent going forward. Who ever gets into the play offs are going to be able to beat anyone
We do seem to perform well against the better sides in this league. Arguably, it'll be tougher to get into the play-offs than it will be to win them. I'd fancy us at home against any side and should we make, we'll be carrying that crucial factor of momentum.
