I know that Roland is stinking rich but the day has to come when he gets fed up watching £1m a month disappearing down a black hole.
The losses from Charlton have to be serving some other purpose in his business empire, probably to do with tax. Cost cutting at CAFC is probably something he has to be seen to be doing to keep auditors or other regulators happy.
He is a real conundrum this guy. Obviously an intelligent and shrewd business operator, and apparently a man of principle in business as well - he has seemingly steered well clear of some murky goings on in the Belgian business and football worlds, yet is still very successful. Indeed the only things that seems to have stung him into a reaction regarding Charlton are the recent tales that he has been a bad boss by not paying promised bonuses and imposing humiliating cost-cutting. But in the realm of football he appears to not only have no aptitude for or understanding of the way it works, but also no willingness to follow basic good business practice - even to the extent of ignoring the very first rule of business - never take your customers for granted. He highlights dodgy dealings and sleaze in he football industry as if on a crusade to stamp it out, but has no understanding whatsoever of what motivates millions of people to be football fans. But I'm not going to try and empathise with him. The guy has pretty much wrecked our Club and doesn't give a damn - doesn't even acknowledge he has done anything really wrong or care about the damage he is still doing. He won't ever be regarded as a 'good' owner despite bringing financial stability with him when he first bought CAFC. Clearly a majority of Charlton fans are sick and tired of his weird ways and just want him to f**k off.
Can you warn people when you are about to make a Charlton/football related post …. I was drinking some tea and almost spat it out …
A manager every 30 games highlights a lack of stability and awareness by the people running the club. Consequently we have seen a total mess for the past five years.
And this is why, despite the manager & most of the players giving it 100%, we are still playing in front of tiny home crowds. The fans know that the w anker from Belgium is poised to sabotage matters again in January. Our annual promotion challenge is like expecting to sail a rubber dinghy across the Channel, when you already know the Captain has holed it before you leave Dover.

Any buyer with ambition would push a deal through before the transfer window. End of January would not be promising at all.
Call me a cynic, but this complete guff from Bowyer comes just before the January transfer window opens He is not saying anything new - my hunch is that he has asked Turkey about the chance of signing players in January ...and had the reply “err not now Lee...the President tells me the takover deal is close” Call me wrong.
Careful Mystic. Snides read this thread, and you risk going on the Aussies blacklist when they find the money for the take over in 2036.
