    Boy never had it in the first place IMO
    When he was with us he missed some sitters ... I found him very poor and still dining out on a good Blackpool spell as a goal hanger

    Spot on. I've said this before but his appearance as a sub away against Arsenal in 2011-12 was one of the worst performances I have ever seen in a top tier game. He never got within 5 yards of the ball.

    He scored today. Carrying a few pounds overweight! Was never good enough for the top table although did bag 13 Prem goals, but he is surely better than the level he finds himself at now.

    That has been said of hundreds of players over the years, points to a character defect that destroys so many promising players...
