I see Dexter came on for Forest on Saturday. You can already see the headlines at the weekend as he scores their winner! Am I having my usual memory problems or does the ex player scores seem to happen regularly against us?
Phillips didn't score when we played Blackpool... Black stock I believe is returning after being out for a year with injury.
Lots of ex-players have come back with another team...not many have scored. Think this is just an urban myth (my fingers were crossed as I typed that!).
He did score against us in a 2-1 defeat in 2006. That was the game where Kelvin got caught in possession trying to shepherd the ball out of play by Ray Jones, who would later tragically die in a car accident.
Well plenty of ex-players have scored against us. Too many..! But I don't think Dexter Blackstock is thought of extra badly, by the supporters. Players I know who are badly thought of include [sadly IMO], Kenwyne Jones, Leon Best, Kevin Philips, and some others.
I think it's just a question of the sheer number of players who have played for Saints. There have been so many, that it's almost inevitable that one will come back to bite us. I don't believe in fate or luck or any supernatural nonsense. It's just probability. Notice how the curse of Sky seems to disappear, when we have a stronger team?
