From the money we got from Martinez and Scotland to the sale of Bony , we owe a lot of managers a heartfelt thank you.
Just from Rodgers and Laudrup alone , we made a bundle.
The sale of Rodgers and Allen brought in 20 million.
Players brought in or sold by Laudrup were , Sinclair and Bony which brought in a profit of 20million.
That brings in 40 million profit.
I'm not sure but that 40 million probably pays for all transfers since we entered the Premier till Monk took over, including any players named here.
Also , I value that 4 million we got for Martinez and Scotland (when money was scarce ) twice as much as the value of the two players that sit on the bench now , unused , at over 8.5 million

There is no doubt we have evolved in that time, Martinez and Scotland were a huge hit for us, and I was really pissed off at that time that they went, not so much Scotland as he deserved his chance imo

But I must say if those two didn't go we would still be struggling now, they were the catalyst to where we are now.

Rodgers got us into this league and we've progressed since he left, I can understand why he left as he was ambitious and also deserved his chance. The players he brought enhanced our club.

As for Laudrup he won us the cup and progressed the team further than some give him credit for, his players has enabled us to go a leap above Rodgers tenure.

We shall see on what Monk's players will profit the club when they leave

Your only get what clubs are willing to pay for your managers and players and only then if they go to Bigger clubs, Regardless what fans think We will always be a selling club and the only people who are loyal to the club are the fans.

Well the managers payed for all transfers our first 3 seasons in the Premier through there shrewd deals , and we probably had one of the lowest wage payouts so there should be a ton of money in that kitty dragon .
Ifwe didn't have those shrewd dealings I guess we would be 40million in the red .
