I need to be careful here, but I was talking to a close friend of a sucessfull footie agent yesterday at length and I got some interesting snippets. This agent has a few big names on his books. Not only does he earn 12.5% from all transfer dealings but earns that cut from all players earnings including wages. Multiply this by the number of agents out there and it gives an idea how much money is not being reinvested in football but used to line agents pockets. Makes you wonder, does football bear any resemblance to a sport anymore, I think not

Agents may have put months of work into facilitating a transfer and, as such, are entitled to be paid for the work they have undertaken imo.
Look at Sam Byram for instance - deal took forever to conclude, but Byram went from £7K per week to £40K per week..

Even after he pays the agents cut, he's getting 5 times as much money for warming a bench!!
