    What is your opinion on it? To be honest, i wouldn't be suprised if a lot of you were to vote that you were unsure about it. I don't know where i stand on it. On the one hand, a singular european currency would be a good idea, making it easier to travel abroad, but on the other hand, some identity is lost, plus it punishes the fiscally responsible countries, such as Germany, by lumping them in with irresponsible ones such as Greece. If a singular currency didn't exist, then the world's economy may be in a better state than it is now.

    Was it not the Germans and the French who were most keen to push for the Euro in the first place? I think we can thank Gordon Brown for keeping us out of the thing, because if he hadn't, I'm fairly sure the UK would be even more buggered than we are already.
