TV football presenter Adrian Chiles loses his (ITV) job with immediate effect and is replaced by Mark Pougatch.

The decision follows ITV's decision not to renew the contract of pundit Andy Townsend.

 

Beats me how Chiles ever got so far. He must have slept with someone. Heard him on 5 live recently, in a long interview about Scrabble. Hideously dull.

The idea behind what Chiles was supposed to do was fine.......ask the 'fan in the street' questions, like ' why aren't they trying?' "Ashley Young's a persistent ****ing cheat, isn't he?" Trouble is, whatever credibility he had in this role took a severe dent when the size of his wedge with ITV became public knowledge and he started sucking up to the 'experts'.

BBC is no better, a smug old boy network, led by that condescending greasy creep Lineker, who has gone on record saying (I paraphrase) "only footballers can talk about football". Thing is, it's a very simple game, otherwise it wouldn't be so popular and so easy for those of extremely restricted brain capacity to earn so much money at it.

 

Also, the Beeb is so into 'diversity' there'll be some bint in a burka presenting MOTD before too long, take a look at their weathergirls...

 

Only if she's played premiership football at some stage. Only footballers, managers and Russell Brand allowed on MOTD. All would be improved by covering them in a shapeless black sheet from head to toe. Especially Mark Lawrenson.

 

But you wouldn't be able to see Russell's chest hair...
