I'm don't think this sort of thing is exactly exclusive to football. *****philes are not acceptable anywhere, IMO. Very rarely do they change their behaviour, even after long prison sentences, in some cases.

It's nothing to do with football but everything to with individual behaviour. No football club can be responsible for that sort of thing. He should be rightly charged but please don't blame football. There's a national case in the States where 3 girls of 14 years old held down an 11 year old boy and took off his swimming trunks in daylight and posted it on the internet. They are being charged with downloading child porn. The law must apply to all but you cannot blame the parents of those girls so Hearts are not to blame and neither is football for this.

You CAN blame Hearts for not sacking him, however.

    My point exactly!

A football club (it appears) thinks its acceptable (by not banning the player).

I'm not sure what that story about Crouch is, but I don't think that he sank so low that he shagged his brother's wife.
Giggs and Terry's behaviour was on another level to his, even if he did act like a twat and his missus should have left him.

What was it that Johnson was convicted of? It can't have been that bad if he wasn't sent to prison.

Apparently he sent pictures of his nether regions to two girls, aged 14 and 12 and asked one of them for sex.
You'd think that they'd have had enough of *****s after Graham Rix, really.

It did lead to one of the funniest football chants ever, though.
Scottish football fans altered a well known Manic Street Preachers song, so that the chorus became, "If you tolerate Rix, then your children will be next"! <laugh>
    Still funny.
