third bid for Snodgrass apparently rejected..... is he worth paying £8M for, who knows - it's all a risk Lambert clearly is keen to sign the guy.
I really do wonder if leeds actually want £8mil for him, they stated weeks ago nothing below £5mil would be considerd which is fair enough but this £8mil story has only been in the press and no actuall statement from the club (or bates). As you say hes keen on him, but i dont expect him to end up here. i dont unerstand leeds tbh, theyve sold schemeichel and gradel could be off for 2-3mil yet they want mega bucks for snodgrass, it just doesnt make sense and thats why i dont believe this quoted £8mil figure is how much they really want.
If a figure of 8 mill has been leaked it is probably to deter interest. I personally think a lot of it is just the press spinning stuff up.
I agree, just find it strange how bates said what it would take in a firm stance statement, the the press all of a sudden come out with a figure of £8mil which is ludicrus, no player is worth that outside the prem apart from one or two that came down last season. Do you expect gradel to still be a leeds player come august?
Well apparently Cwick is worth £13m so the no-one outside the prem thing goes out the window. I personally cant wait to see Cwick play in the prem as I think he could be huge for England. As for Snoddy, I hope we get him but no way is he worth £8m. Whittingham and Pilkington would both be very good signings. I personally think Lambert is buying players that MIGHT do ok in the Prem but will DEFINITELY help us bounce straight back should we go down. Not a bad tactic IMO. OTBC!
He may have gone for £13mil but sunderland are just mugs. he is not worth that amount of money. The problem is when your a championship club and you see a transfer go through like this, it automaticly makes you think that your best player is worth double what his true value is.

I saw two different versions yesterday. Actual figure for CW was 9 million +add-ons and the other was 9 million plus money owed. Not sure for who or by who.

Ipswich are constantly moving money between clubs with Sunderland. After the crap Royston bought haggling would have been a piss take. Wickham hardly set the CHAMPIONSHIP alight last season and paying out £9 mil plus for an 18 year old is a massive risk. I hope he turns out to be Englands new hope but on current ability i would rate C Martin higher at the moment..
My heart says yes, my head says maybe. I've been anxiously spam refreshing the Leeds United web page this afternoon hoping for a "gradel signs new contract" story, which is what everyone is expecting him to do, but I'm still nervous.
It sounds as if your preparing a contract offer for snodgrass! I know who i would be concerned about keeping more though...
I genuinely believe both of them will have signed new contracts within the next week and all these rumours flying round about them leaving will stop.
