The gaffer is struggling with access so thought I best get the show on the road... Strangely yesterday Leeds United made Bellusci a permanent deal even though he has yet to play for us. What do we think of that? Is it to open up for more loans to come in or has he impressed that much in training? Thoughts on our chances this weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bellusci was supposedly one of the better players we were chasing, and a strong character with skill. He must have done well since arriving, but I reckon it's because there are clubs in Italy who want him so we actioned the clause in his contract that said we have him on loan but can buy at anytime within the loan period. Already guaranteed a nice fee if we sell. Try before you buy works for me as we won't get lumbered with journeymen anymore. I think we get beat again this weekend and then need a new coach by Sunday
Good Morning Everyone, Its going to have to be a quick one today as not606 keeps crashing on me this morning!!! Ballotelli is going to cost Liverpool 16m, and yes, its a lot of money, but not when you consider we got 11m for McCormack who's four years older then the Italian. Obviously, Ballotelli is a far better marksman then the Scot, but the hassle factor for the trouble the volatile Italian will undoubtedly cause has probably kept his price down!!! Given the option, would you rather have Ballotelli for 16m or Ross for 11m? Celino has been speaking to Simon Austin, and tells him we are far from finished from transfer dealings. "I was so pissed off with him during the match, but then afterwards I realised it wasn't his fault (Hocks), and the fans need to realise this," he said. "He doesn’t have the players he needs to do what he wants. I would like to blame Hockaday - that would be the easy thing to do and might make me feel better - but the truth is he just doesn’t have the players at the moment." He went on to say he was ashamed of Leeds performance midweek, and we could be expecting up to six new players!!! Thoughts? We have a squad of 31! Who's going to leave? Is Cellino aiming at promotion this year?
Morning don and all. Great to see Bellusci getting a proper deal, shows more intent from Cellino. We may well get a result at the weekend as Watford are no great shakes. Hock said six players had a virus Tuesday. May or may not be the case but would maybe explain some of the poor performances. Away from forum for a few hours so will leave you lot to some hock bashing no doubt
First of all good morning Aide Matt hope you are OK and the rest of the gang from a hazy Cote de Bardsey I have to go in this morning to LGI for yet more exploritary tests but its just them being careful I suppose! I think that bellusci has proved already hes a class act and that's why we have signed him on a new 4 year deallets hope so Casper Sloth has been rumoured to be the next signing after ADRyan so these 2 deals will probably be the last before the window closes I was wondering and this can only be answered by one of our experts such AS Chippy or Shako could we not sign Adryan after the window closes as it would be a loan deal? Must say Aide I was surprised when you stated that Cooper was just OK I made my feelings know straight away he will be a great find MIKE
Sorry but I don't buy it, Hock has 11 new players but they're not good enough? Does Cellino know what that says to the fans? It says he doesn't know what he's doing when buying players. Lots make no sense with the club but the transfers and the coach is gobsmacking. Watford thrash us this weekend and I bet Hock has gone soon after because Cellino will not stand for much of this
Morning all. Sure the squad and the team need time to gel but there were few if any excuses for the Tuesday night shambles. Cost me nearly £100 and 6 hours driving. I expect a reaction on Saturday, a defeat is not acceptable.
Mike Cooper looked very similar to Lees to me and continually hoofed it, ill give him the season to prove me wrong though. Crying out to see Cook play though this boy has so much composure on the ball and looks comfortable even at such a young age Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They had seen enough of him in training to snap him up. That makes me quite excited about his talents
Morning all, thanks Don for helping elland out ... Hock is never wrong, remember that ... Mike, good luck today mate, hope all goes perfect for you, here's what I know about loaning players ... signing a loan player after the window shuts means you can only get him for three months max (think there is a cut off of 28 December so latest you can sign a loanee is 1 December for 28 days which is the minimum loan period), and then you have to extend at end of period if you want to keep the player (during January window you can once again sign a loan to end of season) ... signing a loan before window shuts means you can commit to full season with option to buy ... Don, there were a few moments where Cooper looked like Lees with a pass into row EE, but these were safety first reactions from a player not wanting to make a mistake on debut, and for the best part he looked calm and assured on the ball, and under a new coach I am sure he will improve ... Bellusci made permanent because he is worth keeping and it frees up loan slots for those extra six players Cellino is chasing
Mike60 the only loan deals allowed after the window is emergency loans. I reckon we won't be allowed unless there's an illness, a big injury to a key player in a key position etc and if we have 400 players I don't think an emergency comes into it
Morning all. Apparently Ballusci is seriously standing out head and shoulders above the rest of the defence in training, which explains why he's been given a 3 year. Only time will tell as to whether or not this is sensible. The only thing I want out of this weekend, apart obviously from a 5-0 hammering of Watford, is a team set up that suits us. The diamond does not. It wasn't that clever when Brian tried it. Wingers or no wingers, we need either a flat 3 in midfield with Austin sitting in front of the back 4, or 352 with the two full backs providing the width. If Balusci is as good as his traing ground performance suggests he is, this might just be the way ahead. If we keep buying loads more players, we'll never have a settled team.
Doc, FL clubs are allowed to sign loans up until November I think it is along with free transfers, then it becomes emergency loans, will check on the date ... Prem clubs can't sign loans after window shuts which is what your reference correctly applies to ... love your 400 chirp, fcuk me if it becomes reality
All a little bit confusing these loan arrangements.. Rotherham have just signed a player on an emergency loan
