I was just wondering whether the six month loan deals that the two Egyptians from Al Ahly are on are "with a view to a permanent move" if they are successful? As they will obviously be in the shop window until their loan deal expires what is the likelihood of them being targetted be more wealthy teams should they do well?

If they are successful it is obvious that Al Ahly will want to cash in on them and it would be nice to know we were in the running for their permanent signatures. To answer my own question I suppose it depends on which division we are playing in next season really.

For this season let's hope that Gedo can do for us what Michu has done for Swansea.

    Exciting times.........

Don't think the Allam Family would let that happen ! They're too astute and businesslike.
If they prove to be diamond players, I think an agreement with their parent club would soon be agreed--if not already ! !

Which richer teams would be interested?

If they do well then barring a complete collapse from the rest of our team (joint 2nd without them remember) we're going to be promoted. In which case the richer clubs in this division aren't a threat. The richer clubs in the PL aren't going to be that interested in signing players of their age just on the back of 6 months in the Championship so I don't see a problem.

I hate this "joint 2nd" crap. We're not joint 2nd, we're third due to our poor goal difference. Clubs which finish 1st and 2nd get promoted, just because you're on the same points as them in 2nd doesn't mean you get automatic promotion too.

We're in a good position but we need to make that final push to ensure we finish 1st or 2nd, anything below and you're into the lottery which is the playoffs.
