Yes there is a down side but one I think may not be a problem with MON in charge. In the summer I expect Mclean, Sess and Campbell to be high on many managers wish list, can we keep them, I think we can. The only reasons they would move are money or bigger team. I know money talks but I get the feeling that its not a big motivator for these three, mind I dont know. That leaves a bigger team and the way we are going I would say a few are bigger but we must be up there for potential with MON around.
I am H-A-P-P-Y...Iam H-A-P-P-Y...I know Iam ...Im sure I am.....I-AM-H-A-P-P-Y....... Just as well they are all on massive contracts then
Money talks in the modern game but so does ambition to a good honest Pro. Sess wanted to move to us cos he wasn't getting a game in France, he's getting that here and if i'm not mistaken he took a pay cut to join us. MacClean won't leave and i doubt very much if Campbell would, not after the loyalty and patience we have shown him. I would expect MON to work his managerial charm on the entire squad to be honest and bring in additional to strengthen us, not let the gifted player leave. He'll probably give them a payrise after what they have acheived.
Think you are right welder I remeber reading he had taken a drop in salary which is a good sign of his priorities. Agree with the other two as well. I see these 3 as pivotal to pushing us forward next year but I guess it depends more on what MON thinks of them. I know fraizer is only a game and a half into return but as syd already posted too late mon I think we are all excited by the rebirth of campbell.
I agree with all of that, Sess looked happy last night, just looked like he had at last found his partner, someone to share the load and who he wa very happy playing alongside
