I did my time in the R.A.F. - just try and march to its 'march past'. More like an obscure Icelandic jig? I dreaded parades and the like.

<laugh> I guess so, we just strolled, but the RAF Regiment (who were in charge of the early days of basic training) were a bunch of tough characters, I can tell you. One did not mess with them, for sure!

Well folks, I just might be off to mars. Well not me, but my name.

NASA has invited those interested, a chance to offer up their names if they want them sent to the Red Planet in 2020. There is a bit of a catch though. Even if some alien gets his, her or their androgynous hands on the bizzo, they probably won't be able to understand it. The millions of names will be engraved onto a wee chip by using an electron beam over a ready made stencil. The problem for the space folk is that the names will be unreadable. The millions of names chosen will be smashed into a width of less than of one thousandth of a human hair. But who cares? I'm on the list. Imagine if the whole forum made the trip. The Martians wouldn't know what hit'em. <laugh>

That's what I thought - selfish cow for putting it her will but stupid bloody relatives for going ahead with it. Probably believe in re-incarnation or the afterlife or some other bollocks. I'm with you red - dead = worm food (or cremation).

Sometimes it's not all sunshine and roses for us filthy rich folk. One of my buddies had his $60,000,000, 130 foot yacht (a tiny thing compared to mine) fall off the side of a cargo ship while being transported from Palma to Genoa. My mate feels sick to the guts. I hope a weekend on my 300 footer will be enough to lift his spirits. The pics below. Before and after.

Cyc; who should I be supporting?

Maroon = Heart of Midlothian and sometimes FC Bayern Munchen.

Sky Blue = Argentina, Manchester City, Racing 92 (Paris rugby union).

Just under 29 minutes in; somebody is going to have nightmares!

Camel milk to be the next superfood?

"With more than 12.2 million heads of camel, East Africa is home to some of the world’s largest camel populations. Rich in iron, vitamin B and C, and low in fat, the frothy milk produced by the hunched mammal is valued in the region and across the world for its medicinal value—particularly against diabetes and allergies—and is even used as an aphrodisiac. It’s also prized as a source of nutrition especially in hot and arid zones where climate change is exacerbating drought conditions and decimating food chains."

Not for me. Gives me the hump

Omg, omg, oh gosh golly gee, I can't believe how wonderful I feel right now. Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have finally kissed and made up, bringing their 7 year feud to a warm and cuddly end. Like me, I'm sure you'll all sleep much better for the news. :emoticon-0152-heart
