RVP said he didn't see eye to eye on the direction of the club, well, our direction is to the last 8 of the League Cup, while his direction is out, hope he likes that direction, c--t.

Why so vindictive, Arsenal87? Surely VP had the right to seek his fortune where he wanted to - he's a pro. And if you really think he's unhappy cos Manure are out of the League Cup, get real.

The thing that annoys me is the RVP is the player he is today, and able to command 200+K a week because of the direction of the club, the club decided that they would take in youngsters and make them great. RVP was out of favour in Holland. Even at our club, I remember his getting sent off in a game, I think it was Southampton and a lot of arsenal fans wanted him moved on and thought he would amount to nothing. Its almost like biting the hand that feeds you, or forgetting your roots.

Had the club not taken this direction RVP and lots of other players that have slagged the club of would potentially be languishing in obscurity.

Being in the quarter final of the Capital One Cup isn't something to boast about.

My god this is one thing I really hate about football fans take the blinkers off and let go. We get it you love Arsenal and RVP is a meanie but let the **** go. After the initial furore, resentment just seems sad.

No, it's really not. If anything, the way we did it was worse. We conceded 5 goals to a sub standard Reading team and were 4-0 down for 45 minutes. The seven goals that were scored should have happened within 85, and it should have been joined by a clan sheet, 1 goal conceded at most.

Also thank you for proving my football fan blinders on point as well. Not only have your proven yourself a Dick but you have also proven me right all in one severely misjudged response. I would be impressed if I didn't know that you thought you were being clever even though you wound up doing the opposite.

Yeah and most of it down to your lord and saviour, Laurent Koscielny. He made Jason bloody Roberts look like Drogba and thanks to an inept ref, he managed to get away with some stupid fouls without being sent off.

Yeah not sure what happened there he has been piss poor every time he has played this season. Maybe he needs game time and it will come back. But it is alarming the drop in form from last season to this one.

    He is a poor defender.

Our record with him in our team is terrible. It's that simple. For the two Seasons he was a regular we conceded 42 and 49 league goals respectively (the two worst totals in our 'Premierleague' history)

He's a good player and seems like a nice lad but he's not a great defender.

I think sometimes we judge players by their mistakes too much. Even though that is a natural thing to do.

Most players will make many many mistakes in a match. Whether they are obvious or not depends on how well the other team exploit them, and how much support they get from their team mates.

Yes Koscielney's mistakes were lage and obvious in this game, and in several other games this season, but (in my opinion) that doesn't mean he is a "Bad" player, he still has great speed, ball control and often reads the game very well. It just means he isn't quite as in sync with his defensive partners and is probably not quite as confident and mentally match-ready as the CBs that are starting every game.

I do not think he is a bad player as well. Just pointing out one of reasons as to why we were so bad defensively against Reading. Which The Zlatan has for some reason failed to mention. <whistle>

I would like to see what our average goals conceded is for games Djourou has started, i suspect its not great.

He looked like such a promising young CB at one point... <wah>
