They can call is whatever they like it will still just be the Devonport End to me !! http://www.pafc.co.uk/news/article/the-fes-devonport-end-449610.aspx
I always think that these firms have more money than sense with this sponsorship thing. Good for the club and they can chuck as much money their way as they like but no fan, and that is not one ever, will call it anything other than what it has always been know as. All supporters or all clubs are the same.
If it had been American money they could have call it the New York end if they wanted to, as long as the money is in the Bank who cares.
NO NO and NO. Fed up with the rebranding crap. The bluebirds in red, real St James Park being re named all BS for me. It will get like American football where teams change City, let alone colour, Wimbledon was the start of it and for me that was SOOOOOOOOOOOooooo wrong. There maybe short term money but what you lose in fans cannot be worth it in the long run. I was one of the little buggers banging the Sunday Independant sign all match, well at least half off it when the opposition keeper was there, when it was a proper stands no seats or roof. My eldest cut his teeth there, literally, and my youngest would too but I will not let him get Forze Verde´d. At some point these muppets in charge must realise the heart of the club is it´s fans so stop trying to rip it out. First the FES Devonport then we lose the Devonport bit......
But the locals will still call it Devonport End whoever owns the rights mexijan. This FES company is owned or part owned, not sure which, by the bloke who buys all the stuff on pasoti and sponsors god knows what. They have to mask his financial input somehow so adding 3 letters to a stand covers that for not fiddling purposes. I really can't get that upset by this and Argyle need to sell themselves to anyone with a wallet to help dig our way out of hock and move on. If they have to prostitute the club a little to do it then I just don't care.
Interesting to see the pics on GoS of Rotherham's New York Stadium......looks a great place......it was noticeable that each new stand had been sponsored and named.
