We all support our club with a passion and all of us think we can pick the the team to win every game and there in my view lies the problem.the thing is every manager has different ideas on who is the right player for positions etc.

We are yet to win a game this season and Sparky has picked teams to try and get results and just as we start to play decent football the injuries start rolling in again.even though we have a very good squad we don't have an embarrassment of riches like the big clubs do.

take a look at Man united or Chelsea or Man city and compare their squads compared to ours,i know you will say they are bigger clubs than us but i'm just trying to point out where some fans are trying to hit the ball over a mountain instead of goal posts.

take out Bossingwa,Anton and Traore out of the defence and were struggling, the bigger clubs can soak up injuries like that better than us.Andy Johnson is now out for the season and if he was fit we would have a hard working striker who scores goals.

the midfield has the most cover but if Faurlin or Granero pick up injuries again we will have to adjust but lesser because those two are genuine class players.we have Cisse to come in up front and need him on fire because on his day he is lethal in front of goal.

And so to the on going debate regarding Adel, some reports have said he is unfit some say he is out of favour, everyone knows he is temperamental and genius in the same measures.there lies the dilemma for sparky because it's a team game.

Nobody can deny that Adel has a tendancy to drift in and out of games and tries flash flicks when a simple pass will do.when the tricks come off it's a joy to watch but other times you just want to kick him for giving the ball away.personally i would if fit play him against west ham tonight and unleash him because a win tonight will hopefully light the touch paper for us to spring on.

I'm not digging out any individual fan here as that is unfair i'm just saying that being a manager is not as easy as some think, anyone can be successful on football manager games but you don't have to deal with players emotions just a load of pixels on a computer screen.

I for one will be waiting till xmas to see where we are before i pass judgement but one thing is for sure we need to start winning games, especially our home games and we need some of the spirit we showed towards the end of last season.

Sparky was in charge of that team that went on that run last season but some seem to have forgotten that and in my opinion are expecting too much too quick.I look at the squad we have and can't see us being where we are at xmas as we have enough quality to climb away.

We all like to pick a team and formation that we hope could to well and might have the hump when the team that turns out isn't what we'd have chosen but the difference is Sparky gets paid to do it and we pay to watch what he picks.

I maintain the right to question team selection as I cough up every year to watch them play. What we can't do is know who is carrying a knock, who did good work in training, who spat the dummy when they were told a 1st team spot wasn't being given etc etc. I'd hope after doing the job for as long as he has that Hughes would know the best formation and ideal team selection for each game and also what to do if Plan A isn't working.

Shame that so early on into a season the sharks are already circling around Sparky but this is a cut-throat business and if he doesn't bring success he'll be out on his ear.

Here's hoping for all three points tonight, Up The R's!!!!

Not sure him and Hoilett go in the same team, and said as much when we were chasing him.
