Hello everyone, just a quick post to let you know how the mods plan to play derby day, hope you all are happy with it.

We will post the thread on both boards before the day so you can enjoy the build up, game and aftermath. We intend the thread to be very lightly moderated and the mods will only step in if in their opinion the abuse is getting OTT but we do expect some emotion around the time of the first goal.

The thread will be moderated by AG for Newcastle and Dorset and Commo for Sunderland, the other mods will be at the game. Because it will be a fairly anything goes thread it may well not be for everyone so it may be each board has two threads.

If anyone wants to post a thread on their own board for their own fans then ofcourse they are free to do so, just put in the title either Newcastle only or Sunderland only and that will be clear who should be on there. Any opposing fans will be deleted from that thread.

Hope that is OK but any sensible suggestions are of course welcome.

    Looking forward to the Derby.

Christ knows what line up we'll have but it's always a good occasion regardless.

I will be in the pub from around 8:00 am until about half an hour before kick off when I will make my way to the ground, so if the thread is open before 07:30 in the morning, I might be tempted to leave the odd comment.

I think after some of the things I wrote following our heavy defeat last season, It would be wise if I left it a day or so after the game before I post; and that is regardless if we win, lose or draw...

I'm a bit sad that i won't get the chance to comment on it till the Monday like, but i ain't cancelling my flight, hotel and car hire for it!

I'd like it if we could launch it on the Thursday night so i can at least get a bit involved in some baiting and banter, as i'm not gonna get the build up around the region for the week.

I think I will probably not get home until the early hours of the morning following the game unless it's a draw...If we win I will be celebrating for England and if we lose I will be drowning my sorrows..

Massive **** up from our end regarding tickets. Our club just can't do anything right.

Tickets went on sale to ST holders with more than 100 loyalty points(have had to attend at least 100 away games) on Tuesday, online, on the phone and in person. People with less than 100 points tried their luck on the website and got tickets in the first two hours, the online box office then shut down. As of last night, 1200 had been sold to fans with over 100 points. Considering only 600 have over 100 points, something wasn't right. People who got tickets with less than 100 are now getting a full refund and will have to wait before the requirements go down.

With only a 2600 allocation, it would be shocking that the most loyal didn't get tickets because of a club **** up, good to see they have fixed it though.

Speaking of allocations, NUFC are only giving SAFC 2100 in March. I know this could affect fans like Bruceys Beak.

I'll be ****ed if i try and get them from the club mate, unless my uncle buys his away tickets against my customer number, but to be honest i usually get my SJP tickets via my dad's company, the biggest issue for me will be the timing, i'll be planning my whole summer of events March/April, it may be impossible for me to get over, even for a 2 dayer.

    Fingers crossed.

Tell me about it. We haven't had one for a while so I suppose it was due. Normal service resumed at our normal football club.

Whats your likely line up Overseas as things stand? I guess Barton and Enrique wont be part of it now? Will Arfa be fit? Will both Amadonkeys be in the starting line up?

Really couldn't tell you yet Cest apart from Ben Arfa who will most likely miss the game.

I do reckon that Shola will be on the pitch at some point to wreak his bizarre form of havoc against you.
