© Rangers Football Club RICHARD FOSTER is expecting a hostile atmosphere when he returns to old club Bristol City tomorrow but insists he has no regrets about joining the English side. The full-back only negotiated his released from the Ashton Gate outfit last month in order to clear the way for a switch to Ibrox. Foster will take up a contract with the club on September 1 subject to registration when the clubâs transfer embargo comes to an end. But he is free to play before then as a trialist and should feature at some point against the League One outfit. Foster, 27, spent a season and a half with the Robins after going there from Aberdeen and was a regular under Derek McInnes. But his spell there turned sour when the present Dons manager was sacked and he was told he was no longer wanted. Foster is glad he went despite the move not working out â but that doesnât mean he expects a friendly welcome this weekend. He said: âI donât think Iâll be getting a great reception from the fans there. If a player leaves their club, I donât think they welcome him back when he goes back to Ashton Gate. âIn fairness, thatâs just football. Thereâll be plenty of Rangers supporters there in any case so hopefully theyâll drown them out. âIt was tough for me down there because I went straight into a relegation fight but I played all the games bar the last one, when we were already safe. âI started last season and played at first but while we started to struggle a bit in the league, I was still playing and having a relatively good season personally. âIt was disappointing a new manager came in and brought someone else in without really having a look at me but that happens. âYou should never really have any regrets. I always wanted to play in England at some point and I can say Iâve done that now. âIâve seen what the standard is like and I can play in the Championship. Itâs another bit of experience on my CV and thatâs a good thing, even if it didnât work out.â This guy is on his own planet, he clearly thinks highly of himself if he thinks they'll be a hostile reception, personally i'll give him a standing ovation and shake his hand knowing he will never take a wage off us and wear the red and white shirt again..
MMMM he was playing well was he in that case thank god he has gone because if that was him playing well just how bad would he have been if he thought he had played badly.
