Queue 5 page topic on why RebelBhoy thinks IRA chanting is educational and why chanting Irish politics inside a Scottish stadium is acceptable <ok>

Unlucky about the fine, i thought you lot were getting a slap on the wrists, evidently not.

    Good news this IMO

For long the argument of those who still want to sing the songs has been that it wont get the club in trouble, if it did they would re-consider

Now they can show if the football club is really their priority or not

If only we had a player willing enough to pay this fine for us....

So....what was the chant we got done for?

Surely it wasn't a case of

    Copper; They sung bad songs
    UEFA: Did they
    Copper: Yes
    UEFA: Yalday, pay day feruz

<applause> Yes, it should be ...

Stop the chants and stope being pig headed about it.

Want to be "political" or fight legislation you don't agree with ... do it outside away from football!

Are you telling me that UEFA have issued this fine without stating what the fine was for?

We know now where we stand. The Strathclyde police can never hear any evil or see any evil from their moronic lodge members
    in the ipox.
The same police come fitted with special hearing aids to Celtic Park and rather they hear anything wrong or not they report us to UEFA.
The lovely decent partial police had not the manners or decency to inform Celtic of what they heard.

Was it last season that they travelled with Rangers supporters to Romania and got the bears out of trouble for bears wrecking
seats in the stands by telling lies. The sooner that bast... club Rangers dies a tax death the sooner we may have fair play for all.
It could only happen in Scotland or Northern Ireland were a club who have been proclaimed as having the best fans in the World
and in Europe could have their reputation tarnished by local partial police force. Celtic will have to ban the troublemakers.
Keep the coppers out of Celtic Park, they don't do any good, they are only there to cause trouble. What did they do with that
idiot Diouf, when he ran around like a mad idiot. The police spoke to him, who did they report the idiot to.

If Celtic are answering a charge, UEFA would have written the charge out so that there would be no doubt what the song/ chant was. Whether they make that public or not remains to be seen.

As far as the fine is concerned it is no surprise. People have for too long wrapped themselves up in this 'political' nonsense.

Makes you wonder why the SFA or SPL aren't being more proactive about this.

Shouldn't you be more concerned about the racist and sectarian chanting amongst your support?

For the record, I have never endorsed IRA chanting.

Considering the club statement read "We received notification of the fine with no detail" how do you know this?

The only thing we know for certain is that the SPL and SFA have no problem with racist and sectarian singing as evidenced by the fact that no team has been punished for this and that the political songs of the Celtic support are not going to have the club face censure.

And that to be on the safe side, there should be no singing in european games whatsoever because nobody knows what these illicit songs are.

    <laugh>

This time? when were you ever in the dock for "illicit" chanting?
I expect there will be the same number of column inches dedicated to the racist and sectarian chanting of the Huns at the weekend?

It's UEFA's ball and if we want to play with it we have to follow their rules

However can they please explain how we broke the rules?

Illicit chanting? Where is the proof? What was sung?

Perhaps if uefa feels it need be. Who knows how far down the rabbit hole uefa will go. One things for sure there's no place for all the chants. Celtic need to deal with it just as rangers had to <ok>
